Veyl is glad to announce the return of Contre Soirée with the artist's first full EP, Leaving Away Remixes. 

This release is a deeply personal project for Contre Soirée, who describes the title track as "an ode to all those who feel stuck, suffocated, out of place in this world. The lyrics were written with a desire to escape, and I feel very concerned when I sing it live. I hope it can be an anthem to all those who feel in this same situation“.
Accompanying the original track, Leaving Away will feature remixes from three artists close to Contre Soirée:

Moïse Turizer: The meeting between Mose and Turizer is an experience. Thermal shock between an industrial party with intrepid rhythms and a post-punk concert with a dark and icy atmosphere. 

Inner Kid Room:  Inner Kid Room was born from the meeting of two kids, eager for music and passionate about imagination. Wave architects, Deram (Léo Deram) & Phar (Aurélien Brest), create a unique scenic experience with the help of their machines, each appearance yielding a one-of-a-kind result. 

Eiyie: With three EPs, an album, and releases on different labels behind him, Eiyie is becoming an increasingly prominent figure in the electronic scene. Based in Paris, he is supported and played by DJs across the globe and his profile as a producer piques the curiosity of many renowned artists. 

Contre Soirée's Leaving Away is set to strike a chord with anyone feeling stuck or out of place. This EP is a big step forward for the artist, with more new music following on Veyl soon.

Today's guest spot is Chlorine Gargoyle from Sydney, Australia. Chlorine Gargoyle makes electronic music that sounds like it was recorded in the wreckage of an abandoned hospital. We are very excited about this intense mix which features some rare gems.

"This is a slice of what my mp3 player sounded like in the mid 00's,
I only had about 128M so they had to count. Re-shuffling your mp3 player after
a day of riding the train. This was the era of the home industrial producer.
Well crafted rhythmic noise had arrived. Aggrotech exploded in the clubs.
People were making amazing things with VST and little hardware and able to
share it easily for the first time.
When I went searching for the remenants of this community when my hard drive
died mid making this set I was sad to see there was few traces in the digital wasteland." - Chlorine Gargoyle

"Far-right ideologies are not compatible with goth. Goth is rebellion against the mainstream and celebration of diversity - whereas nazis and conservatives advocate for rigid conformity, which makes them at war against what goth is all about.

The goth movement has always taken pride in being a safe haven for people from all backgrounds, and if nazis are made [to] feel welcome, it will become dangerous for people of color, LGBTQ, women, and just anyone who doesn't harbor fascist views.

SUZI SABOTAGE (Helsinki, Finland)
Suzi Sabotage, who has been dubbed "the Finnish siren" by the press, is a dark coldwave solo artist from Helsinki, Finland. Her wintry, gloomy synthpunk soundscape is both danceable and ethereal - some of her songs also feature the Finnish national instrument, kantele, creating a unique crossover between darksynth and neofolk. She's signed on Out Of Line Music.

Her most notable releases include singles Persona Non Grata, Love at First Bite, and Oodi surulle, as well as featuring on Kill Cave, a single by the US-European band Corlyx and remixing the US band Rosegarden Funeral Party's single Almost Heaven.

In the fall of 2024 she embarked on her first full-length US tour, with shows in New York, California, Washington, Oregon, Texas, and Colorado, after having made her North American debut earlier in the year, playing a handful of shows in the continent, in Los Angeles and two cities in Mexico. In the past she has toured in Iceland (with Kælan Mikla at Brennuöld Festival), Germany (Plage Noire Festival and Berlin, with Front 242 and Zanias), France (with Corlyx), Estonia (Tallinn Music Week), The United Kingdom (at Club Dead And Buried in London), along with a number of shows in her native city Helsinki, including one with Ashbury Heights, one with Starbenders, and one at Helsinki Industrial Festival.
