The Houseum Records family is proud to announce that it continues to grow with this new Various Artists EP. To fly to new horizons, Astro, Sunfleur, Harisson BDP and Aemone gathered a collection of 4 tracks with deep and dubby sounds.

Ready for a power takeoff with Astro? From the beginning, this track sends us to another planet with the bassline. And the hypnotic beats certainly make a spacey banger! Sunfleur embarks you in the ship Vostok 1, for a cosmic ballad mixed with sweet and nostalgic lines of synths. This very smooth groove and these robotic vocals make us float.

On the B side, Harrison BDP gives us a darker track. The gravity leads us to a real fusion of reverberating drum lines and entrancing pads, It feels like entering a black hole. Finally the trip ends on a smooth landing with Clouds produced by the Belgian Aemone, we want to land on the clouds with this fluffy rhythm and these captivating vocals.

Clouds

Slow and smooth build up with an intense but mellow peak that just goes on and on. It fills you with empathy and intense sensation heightening. SWIM smoked a joint halfway through and melted into the couch. It’s perfect for a rolling party with a group of friends, though SWIM imagines it would be great for a proper party too. Sometimes SWIM felt like dancing, but spent most of the time staring into space. This is really nice, intense, smooth and mellow. Get ahold of these if you get the chance!

Jordan has a wicked eye for an edit. The co-founder of Belfast's The Night Institute incited something close to a riot when his rework of Jan Hammer's 'Crockett's Theme' was debuted during his AVA Festival x Boiler Room performance, and he's back at it again with a four track edit EP on his own Nocturne label.

The artists stock has continued to soar, with mixes locked in for Feel My Bicep, Truants and Ninja Tune's So Solid Steel, in addition to releases on Abandon Silence, Huntley and Palmers, !K7 Records and Tiga's Turbo Recordings, all of which have been warmly received from some of the best belonging to contemporary dance music - Bicep, Or:la, Gerd Janson and more.

This adaptation of Company B's 'Fascinated' is perfectly suited for when the lights go up. Friends up on each others shoulders, arms waving wildly in the air. All dancing as one to the same elevated groove.

‘Pressure Drop’ is the debut release from Reedale Rise on 20/20 Vision.

The 12" EP sees Simon Keat continue his purple patch of form following from releases on other esteemed labels including Frustrated Funk, Common Dreams, Emotions Electric and Boe Recordings. The trademark Reedale Rise lush production sound of emotive electro continues on ‘Arkeme’ but ‘Hydraulics’ and ‘Pressure Drop’ see Simon venture into tougher dance-floor orientated electronic directions. ‘Naria’ completes the EP with a Motor City style groove based around a heavy break beat.

Pressure Drop has received early support from the likes of Afrodeutsche, A-Future, Bobby., Burnski, Central Processing Unit, Conforce, Domenic Cappello, Futureboogie, Kosh, James Shinra,

потом решили что-то в аблике потыкать

я ему показывал как пуш работает, записал лайвом эту плак партию и оставил его за компьютером. а сам ушел на кухню

вернулся, а он туда закинул какой-то бит и дописал ризовый бас

я удалил его бит и накрошил туда аменов) получился фьюче джангл

потом мы серьезно взялись и дописали его за ночь. сидели у меня дома прямо до самого утра, расцвело

денис ушел домой, а я остался сидеть мастерить. мастерил как мог и получилась эта финалка

а теперь самое интересное

у меня днём был поезд в киев и я на него опоздал из-за таксиста. он решил меня с салтовки повезти через барабашова днём в час пик в субботу) 

я как-то распетлял этот вопрос. ребята поехали днём, а я на вечернем поезде

денис и настя поселились у моего друга (после чего кстати влюбились и начали встречаться. не помню только сразу или спустя какое-то время)

я приехал часов в 12 ночи в киев, сразу поехал в клуб

мы тусовались и я стал играть часа в три ночи

и первым в своем сете поставил именно этот трек)

Greek born Kostas Tassopoulos aka Ekkohaus has readied his debut album for Moon Harbour. Entitled “Noschool”, it is the culmination of a close relationship between the Berlin based artist and the music label Moon Harbour Recordings from Leipzig. It dates back to 2008 and has seen Ekkohaus explore his trademark and very modern take on rich house over a number of regular releases at the sister label Cargo Edition.

It was in the mid-nineties that Ekkohaus first started making music, but not until 2005 that he unleashed his debut release. Since then he has worked with labels like 2020Vision, Tsuba and Mule and has taken his live show to lauded clubs like fabric (London), Watergate (Berlin), Space (Ibiza) and many more.  His debut album is a collection of new material from 2010 to 2012 and is titled as an anti-statement to the tiring old school / new school debates that rule the electronic community.

“”Noschool” is about bridging the space in between the two well respected schools”, he says. “For this project, I have used all possible means of production: analogue drum machines alongside with VST plug-ins, modular synths with Audio Units, original recordings as well as sample libraries. From the basslines to the sax lines, from the Rhodes phrases to the house beat, I hope there is something in there for everyone.”

The resulting 13 track album is one that explores the Greek’s signature sound – warm 4/4 beats, involving bass and cute sampling – but also leans on a whole lifetime of influence from jazz to funk, hip hop to dub to disco. Though offering plenty of dance floor dynamite along the way, “Noschool” also stands up to home listening or Sunday driving sessions.

The album features a number of exciting collaborations including Robert Würz on saxophone (“A Drive”, “D58” and “Mark Ma Words”), Jon J-Lab playing bass on “Reparations” and Lady Blacktronika singing on “Chasing Brown”.  As well as this, field recordings from Barcelona, Athens and Istanbul add an organic and real world element to the album from start to finish.

From the romantic jazz-house vibes of the opener “A Drive” to more propulsive but equally deep house cuts like “Reparations” each track tells a story. Cuts like “Keep Your Eyes On Me” are loose and freeform, vintage sounding yet forward facing, where “Buzzin Fly” works on both your head and heel with its contrasting textures and lush melodies.

Additionally to the album itself, coming on CD and as digital download, there will be an "Ekkohaus - Noschool" vinyl sampler released, with “Touch House”, “Reparations”, “Just Click” and “Rendezvous” all included.
