Hailing from Montreal, Canada Joe Mesmar’s career has been growing at an exponential rate by getting noticed by big artists such as Josh Wink, Richie Hawtin, Sam Paganini, Stacy Pullen, AnGy KoRe, Koen Groeneveld and many others. For Joe Mesmar it all began when his hobby turned into something more serious when he won a Beatport remix contest Josh Wink's track "Balls". His dark and hard-hitting techno sounds have captivated audiences, while proving a mesmerizing experience for those who’ve experienced his sets.

Originally an electro DJ, Joe Mesmar found his sweet spot with techno while teaching himself, with a the help of a close friend, production techniques and perfecting his DJ abilities has proven he’s an artist to watch. Joe Mesmar’s DJ sets have mesmerized audiences at Montreal's premiere nightclub, Circus Afterhours, ranked #43 worldwide. At Circus, Joe Mesmar had the pleasure of supporting acts like Sasha Carassi, Oliver Hunterman, UMEK, and Ant Brooks. Within a year, Joe Mesmar has released over 50 tracks on Beatport with many of them entering the top of the charts in the techno category.

Now with a bigger focus in production, Mesmar has released an expansive set of sounds across a variety of labels including Naked Lunch, Bosphorus Underground, Ovum Recordings and his highly anticipated two-part EP release on KMS Records. Joe Mesmar stays active in the techno scene by always keeping his fans on their toes by releasing tracks on a consistent basis. His track "After Effect" was ranked #13 on the Beatport techno chart upon it's release.

His roots are deeply embedded into the city of Montreal, but his career is growing beyond. After having experienced the New York City through his show at Sullivan Room, Joe Mesmar will be spreading his reach into the European market through his Sub:Merged party at ADE in Amsterdam.

The rise of new artist Copy Paste Soul has seen the elusive producer garner the support of the electronic music elite, with luminaries such as Annie Mac, Claude von Stroke, Justin Martin, Skream, Modeselektor, Disclosure, and Tensnake all supporting his soul-quenching sub-heavy rave inspired sound.

By incorporating Detroit Techno, Drum & Bass and UK/US garage into a finely honed style, Copy Paste Soul is leading the charge with a left-of-centre broken-house sound. Releases such as the ‘Blink’ and ‘Look At Me’ EPs on the highly respected Exploited caused respective storms, and remixes for the likes of Photek, Deadmau5 and Alex Barck on Sonar Kollektiv, as well as Hugo on Gruuv signal that his production outlook is sought after by those in the know.

High-profile gigs such as the O2 Academy Oxford for Annie Mac’s Presents Party have had the industry talking and his terrace performance at Carl Cox’s Revolution Night at Space Ibiza had the likes of Loco Dice, Louis Vega, and the big man, Carl Cox, all dancing in the booth.

Thus far, 2015 has seen Copy paste Soul sign promising talent Jay Robinson to his 2Swords imprint, turn in a remix for Low Steppa, continue a monthly residency at London superclub Ministry of Sound, and turn in a return remix for Laurent Garnier for his legendary FCOM. He also released a four track EP to the highly coveted Suara imprint in June, with a two tracker for Carl Cox’s Intec due later this year.

It appears as if the Copy Paste Soul train is gathering momentum, so watch this space, sit back and have your soul soothed by the bass heavy beats of our exlusive mix, provided by the man himself.

DJ and production duo Solardo were born and raised in Manchester, a city where music has historically been central to life. Coming from a background in dubstep, the pair have taken these roots and cultivated them into a fresh bass-heavy signature that has started to resonate with a wider audience, building up a force of fans and nods from influential label bosses along with a healthy slew of releases behind them on the likes of Kalkuki and Viva Music. Having put the hours in developing their ethos and aesthetic, 2016 is already proving to be a big year for the production team. 

Here the pair (made up of Mark Richards and James Eliot) have delivered us a large chunk of bass driven techno, featuring a very special and exclusive first listen to a collaboration with Skream another techno convert who they're set to link with when they make their debut in Room Two on May 7th.
