For the third episode of INTHEWRITERSMIND’s ‘Day in the Life’ series we chatted with London-based DJ A Vibe Called B. We also challenged her to make a mix ‘4 tracks in 4 minutes’. Here’s how she got on.

For this mix she used a mixture of acapella’s and beats. 

Starting with ‘Koen - 1 4 7 5’ mixed with an acapella version of ‘Salaam Remi - Nappy Heads Remix’. Then she mixed ‘Styles Davis: u like? i love.’ with the acapella version of ‘Busta Rhymes and Swizz Beatz - New York Shit’. Then she used ‘Stro Elliot - Kamaal Coltrane’ and ended with ‘Jill Scott - Free (Prelude)’.
