On LIFE, Landhouse turns the spotlight on his distinctive melodic side, masterfully embroidered into ethereal synths and deep, cosmic frequencies which will dive you right into the intricate shades of being alive. 
LIFE comes from trees and bees. It’s about embarking on the greatest of the journeys and the various sorts of emotional currents that reverberate in the human system. 
Just like life itself it will give and take back, ever again to breathe joy and sing the enthralling melodies of love and creation. LIFE is mean to make you happy and sad, to shake and turn you upside down, leaving you stranded like an astronaut wandering about on the moon. 
Cumbersome and nimbly, just like life on Earth is not always meant to be understood, surely it has the gift of being full and authentic. It' s LIFE.

We are excited to unveil this single of the Kenyan-German duo ODD OKODDO! The 7inch "Okitwoye" is their first ever outing, announcing the long player "Auma" to be released here in October. It comes paired with a Peter Power remix.

ODD OKODDO are Olith Ratego and Sven Kacirek. 

Olith Ratego performs his immaculate vocals in the musical style called "dodo", which originates from the shores of Lake Victoria in Kenya, high in pitch and soulfully expressive. He himself refers to his music as "dodo blues". As a skilled luthier, Olith Ratego designs and builds his string instruments himself, first of all the five-stringed Okodo which lends its name to the project.

Sven Kacirek is a multi-instrumentalist commuting between Germany and Kenya for many years now, ever since he recorded his famous "Kenya Sessions" in 2010. He plays the marimba, percussions and piano, next to producing this project. He has closely collaborated with various international musicians, among them Nils Frahm, Shabaka Hutchings, F.S.BLUMM and Marc Ribot.

The remix on the B side amplifies the essence of the song. Peter Power is a part of the Voodoohop collective from Brazil and his releases on Multi Culti or Polychrome Sounds fuel the rather slow, organically hypnotic dance floors. He premiered this remix at the Heliodora festival in Brazil, at sunrise next to a giant waterfall, and it was just perfect.
