Pull up a chair and grab yourself a stoney peroni for this feast of feasts, the inaugural Segreti Di Famiglia from Boots & Legs. A seven-course meal with dishes from B&L mainstays, as well as some new guests making especially saucy debuts. 

First up, Romain FX returns to the cobbler’s kitchen with ‘Neon Train’, plating up some weapons-grade machine grooves, garnished with hypnotic vocals - guaranteed to whet your appetite. GREETINGS follows up this electrifying entree the introduction of the enigmatic ‘Flavio Zoom’, a cosmic search through robust and considered flavours. Newcomer Sam In Space makes a splash with mid-meal workout ‘Aerobic’, charismatic dark disco with an athletic flair. Things take a turn for the sampladelic with the strange and playful mutant funk of ‘Pre Club’ by Club Sausages, before an all-time classic gets an imaginative Italo rework with ‘The Rhythm’ by Black Feeling. Kayroy teams up with Imogen Cygler for a palette cleansing contemplative chugger ‘Eggna’, with dreamy arpeggios building to a dreamy crescendo, before Pleasure Voyage present final course ‘Return’, a fitting sunset synth-pop soundtrack that’s the bittersweet like the perfect negroni.

Active on the music scene for about 30 years, Alexander
Robotnick has produced an impressive amount of music.
Starting with ¿Avida¿ the first band he put together
,whose early 80s unreleased tracks have been recently
published by Creme Organization) to the latest digital
releases by his label ¿Hot Elphant Music¿.
Being a musicaholic , Robotnick has been stacking a
huge amount of supports: tapes, floppy disks, dats,
CD-roms, hard-disks . Last year, as he turned 60, he
decided to put some order into his archives , getting rid of
much of them but saving some projects that hadn¿t got
to the stage of being released but contained some
interesting ideas that he deemed worth developing and
completing. This is how the idea of Robotnick¿s Archives
came about.
Starting from December 2011, every mont h Elephant
Muisc is releasing a digital EP containing from 3 to 5
tracks , under the title ¿Robotnick¿s Archives¿. It¿s a
production that embraces different styles, from disco to
techno, as the author never identified with a given
genre for good. In some cases these tracks are actually
re-works, in other cases they are true remixes. With a
better equipped and more professional home-studio
(A.R. recently moved from his countryside hideout to an
urban bunker..) and thanks to the collaboration of
Tommaso Bianchi , an extremely talented
sound-engineer, who¿s been recently mastering A.R,¿s
tracks , Robotnick is convinced that , lost in the darkest
corners of his studio, there are indeed some forgotten
gems worh rescueing and publishing.

- something that could be described as
¿disco/progressive¿ although it comes in 120BPM - and
¿Undicidisco¿, the second one, in two different

Even though esteemed norwegian DJ Ole Martin Vilberg aka Omar V and Robin Craaford, one half of Dance Disorder with Baby G ( Bpitch, Eskimo ) are hardly young guns, they gang up together for the first time on "complete": a blinding cut that harks back to the time with good ol Jack was still the young buck and closely associated with uncle Electro Funk: tough beats, hyperactive claps, a jittering bass and a catchy, squeaking melody are still rattling bones if masterfully pieced together as it is done here. Demi Riquísimo returns to his Semi Delicious hand-stamped white label with another four impeccable disco fusion party tracks. Guitar lead ‘Shameless Progression’ follows skittering disco hats across a scape of lasers, a pulsing bassline and Italo synth business. ‘Encona’ is a summery re-edit of a foreign disco classic you'll no doubt recognise (shh..), Demi has added his naughty robotic FM bassline and some proper drum chunk to the mix, a tasteful re-hash right until the end.
