Here is the beginning of something new. Goodbye Kensaye Show, hello Global Tribe. The good folks at Keakie (keakie.com), asked me to host a show on their platform and in their amazing offices. I would have been stupid to refuse. So for those who have followed my journey with the Kensaye Show, you will feel right at home with this one. The only thing that's changed is the name and the venue, the content is the same :-)

So to start things off with a bang I managed to catch my bro https://soundcloud.com/trve-hill from Stuttgart, whilst he was passing through in London and he came in to deliver an amazing guest list. He is a dope producer and deejay and has plenty of good things to deliver real soon.

Here's the second episode of Global Tribe. 

I was lucky enough to catch the talented Ugandan deejay/writer/activist by the name of Kampire (https://soundcloud.com/kkaybie) -  On her third international tour, she stopped by at the Keakie studios to hang out and have a chat. This was the day before she opened for Branko's 'Nosso' album launch in London. Very interesting convo, and I play my usual Global Bass bangers. Not to be missed!

Global Tribe Episode 3 - Special guests: University of Tropical Sound

So a slight change in the format from now on. The show will be less frequent but longer. Instead of every 2 weeks, it is now once a month; instead of 1 hour, it is now 2. So if my maths are correct, it is the same amount of music but concentrated into one show! More to look forward to, more dope music and more quality guests with a deeper dive into their worlds.

On that note, to join me on Episode 4, I have two London based producers/deejays called https://soundcloud.com/villagecuts. They run parties all over London and are in high demand for their sunny afro dj sets. I caught them just before they threw their 1st year anniversary party, which was a blast by the way. They hang out in the Keakie studios shoes off, beer in hand and a contagiously happy vibe.

In the meantime, here's another explosive show, one of my favourite ones yet for it's interesting conversations, it's spontaneity and positive feel, even though I did the show using cdj's for the first time, so it isn't my cleanest mix. Anyway, I was lucky enough to invite https://soundcloud.com/pantherpanther a very talented producer, deejay and visual artist hailing from Mexico and living in Bristol. I'm grateful he made the trip down to London to bless us with his vibes. 
Also on the show was a last minute addition, a really cool young dude by the name of https://soundcloud.com/djdwai , straight from NYC with roots from Colombia. He drops a fire mix as well!
Overall, defo some latino vibes on this episode, which makes for a refreshing focus.

Key Glock 🇺🇸 meets Da Soul Boyz 🇿🇦

Cali Quilombo is a collection of edits of hits from the African diaspora, done from a California frame of reference. The concept behind the series is the idea of transposing an Afro Brazilian Quilombo to a state full of rich histories of Black peoples struggling for self-determination. The quilombos of Brazil also serve as a guide for the artistic philosophy behind INTL BLK.

This EP is like a walk on an unknown wild & hostile land. The tribal side is omnipresent on it with UK Funky, Hard Drums or Gqom influences.

The first track called "Jumbo" plunges us into a primitive era mixing drum riffs with weird creatures cries. "Nenuphar" and "Drum Hiss" the second & third titles are anthems to hard drums which take the usual ingredients of this ruff genre. "Quiet Corner" is a gqom hybrid track here to take us a recovery time. Then we have the club track of this EP called "Gyal inna Jungle" and  to finish "Tapion Riddim" a special drummy edit of the DBZ character melody Tapion.
