If I have learned anything this year, it is to relax and enjoy what you enjoy doing. Observing is just as important as creating. Love to find beauty, and most of all, never give up. There will always be a whole world better than you at what you do, but they once in their life were an amateur, and all above, everything takes work and caring.

This was taken from my new friend, Justin Buus, an amazing artist from Idaho who is the artist featured on this podcast. I altered it a bit to fit my particular lessons in 2013, but it really resonated with me. Thanks Justin!

The hummingbird symbolizes accomplishing that which seems impossible..... I love that. A few times over the past year, when I was feeling particularly low, I'd get a funny visit from one of these little guys and somehow felt better. Happy New Year everyone!

THE FLOWER OF LIFE

Yaman is traditionally sung during the first quarter of the night.

Raga Yaman is a night raga which is very romantic in nature. This raga is often taught to beginners in Hindustani music. Some say its origin is from the Persian mode "Ei'man" from which "Yaman" originated. Others say it has Vedic origins as Raga Yamuna which over time altered as Yaman. 

Moods: bhakti, gambhir, shringar, serene, haunting 

This raga is also called Kalyan or Yaman-Kalyan. The raga has all shuddha swars except for the tivra Ma. It is this note which gives the raga its distinctive quality of peace, and tranquility. Some modernists consider Yaman, Yaman-Kalyan, and Kalyan to be one raga and only traditionalists consider these as three distinct ragas.

Raga Yaman [Mandala - Healing Ragas. Sleep and  Beyond]

INTOP born in the course of an artistic path and an opening for a new vision. FPS begins a new journey through the world of music . Self-taught , there is the intention to explore new sounds , musical horizons and the creation of a new work that carries each listener on a journey of expansion and introspection.
The INTOP project was born in 2014 as a channel of this new vision and a result of his travels around the world
