With a breathing musical heritage rooted in the early 2000s, Aleqs Notal finally announces "City Smile", his latest E.P. on his established "Industrial Light" label—a project that carries the blueprint of underground House and Techno in both its process and outcome, shaped by his journey.

The E.P. features four meticulously engineered tracks designed to be absolute dancefloor weapons while also offering depth for immersive Hi-Fi listening sessions. Each track balances raw energy with intricate soundscapes, crafted to resonate in both club settings and refined, high-fidelity environments.

The release delves into the concept of emotion conveyed through variations in movement, offering an expression that reaches beyond words.

With his signature groove and a masterful touch on the drum machine, each track bridges past and future, nodding to Notal’s influential roots and the timeless sounds of pioneers like Gherkin Jerks (Larry Heard) and Leron Carson, while pushing forward with even more complex layers to submerge any dancefloor out there.

"Margaret Dygas’ position as an avant garde techno producer has been achieved with only three proper releases to her name but backed up by years of formidable DJ sets around the world. Born in Poland, she spent her formative teenage years growing up in America and now, like so many other dance music producers, lives in Berlin. Her exquisitely executed tracks have been released on Contexterrior, Non Standard Productions and Perlon, each showing a progression in her abilities and slowly revealing a distinctive type of sound. LWE hoped to learn much more about the budding artist in our interview but it turns out that Miss Dygas prefers to let her music do the majority of her talking. Read on for the words we managed to glean out of her and check the stunning podcast after the interview for a more revealing glimpse into the world of Margaret Dygas."
