Hey you! 

My name is Martijn born and raised in The Netherlands and crazy about music! 

Since I was a kid I played all kinds of percussion instruments. When I went to university I stopped making music and my interest switched to listening to EDM, visiting clubs and festivals. 

I somehow never took the step to start DJ-ing myself, probably too busy with student life and later career and kids. Or a bit afraid maybe??? 

It was 2019 when I ‘randomly’ met Richie on a festival who wanted to start a DJ School. Since I am pretty good in business concepts I gave him some ideas and tips. My girlfriend at that time gave me a DJ lesson at his place for my birthday, since I was always managing the Spotify lists at all kinds of events with family, friends and at work and she believed I could do more with that. Me still a bit afraid maybe??? A few months later covid hit and I had bigger fishes to fry. 

Early 2024 I ‘coincidentally’ bumped into Richie again and that for me was the sign to take the lessons and start spending more time on music again. End of that summer I bought my first XDJ and started to play music at home for myself, my kids and close friends. 

For 2025 I set myself a goal to play three times outside of the comfort of my home. Still a bit afraid, but hey let’s C what happens. And I did; for my colleagues at a company after party, a birthday of a friend in a bar in Amsterdam and most recently for a group of people I did not know at a party organised by a friend. That was also the first set I really prepared and recorded and after enough people telling me it was really nice I decided to upload it to SoundCloud. 

Very grateful for all the people who believe in me and gave me the gentle pushes to get to this point. And I will follow through, since the only thing that is really limited in life is time and you will never know when you run out of that… So do what you like most and know that it is never too late to persue what you like doing most!
