Progrescapism 09 - Kevs Best Of 2022

Lenz is an electronic duo formed by Irish DJ & producer (DJ Joma) and German vocalist, songwriter (Moon Aton). Working together since 2020, they have enjoyed several successful releases to date on labels such as Colour & Pitch, Personal Belongings, 3Bridge Records, Nordic Voyage Recordings, M-Sol Records, Suprematic Recordings, Nicksher Music and Be Adult Music (Ibiza). With a string of releases already scheduled for 2022, it promises to be a bright future for Lenz.

Their monthly 'Night Whisper' Podcast show seemed like the natural progression of what they have been doing, and thanks to the help of radio stations like Pure Ibiza Radio, Ibiza Global Radio, Bloop Radio London, Boogie Bunker Radio (Tenerife), Estacion Ibiza Radio, Data Transmission Radio, Radio Zoom (Berlin), Graffiti Kings (London) and Like That Underground (Germany), it has developed brilliantly, and helped bring the Lenz sound to all corners of the world.

Atmospheric, raw, and cinematic, Lenz is comfortable taking you on an exciting journey and making you sweat on the dance floor. Never afraid to go too deep, their emotional, dreamy melodies and poetic words will invigorate your mind and soothe your soul.

This week's mix is something a little different!

We have put together this labour of love mix to showcase the delights of the sublime 'Colour & Pitch' records. A label who have supported us from the beginning of our journey back in 2020 with our first ever release 'Beauty' and most recently with our latest release 'Still I Rise'.

Will and Colour & Pitch will always be very close to our hearts.

Colour and Pitch is a tiny independent UK record label, specialising in handcrafted electronic music from the heart.

Founded in 2013 by Will Sumsuch, Colour & Pitch enjoys a monthly show on world-leading electronic radio station Proton and releases gathering support from some of the finest DJs across the Globe, Colour and Pitch is steadily building a solid reputation among lovers of deep-thinking dance music.

To try and shorten the mix selection down to 14 tracks was quite frankly very difficult and in fact harrowing at times, when we consider some of the beautiful music that we had to set aside.

Our extreme apologises to the other sublime artists on the label whose music we did not use this time around. However, we will return and include you all next time !

A Journey Into The Ether #046

Each month will see a guest DJ produce an exclusive mix for our LOST / CAST.

March’s edition comes from Graham Sahara.

Graham is a multi-award winning DJ, Producer, and Label Manager for some of the biggest names in the music industry.   

Sahara’s genre-defying magic has left its mark on super clubs and 
venues across the Globe for over two decades. Since the turn of the 
millennium, he’s been a resident DJ at Pacha, the legendary club in Ibiza, making him one of the longest serving resident DJ’s in club land.

He was awarded Best Ibiza DJ 2017 in the internationally televised Ibiza DJ Awards,  having been nominated in the same category previously in 2006. He has previously won Best Ibiza DJ in the Ibiza Clubbing Guide Awards and was also nominated both as Best DJ and Best DJ of a Bar and Lounge in Spain's Deejay Magazine awards in 2008.

Graham has also now become one of the best Label Managers round. Whether its looking after the likes of Jonas Blue’s Electronic Avenue imprint, Eats Everything’s Edible label, or taking care of ARTBATS’s Upperground, the fact he is trusted by Worldwide names such as these, is a testament to his ability and knowledge of the Music Industry. 

We are very excited to have Graham put this mix together for us - hit play and enjoy the set!
