Approaching its 20th year, Anjunadeep has become “one of dance music’s ultimate tastemaker labels” (Billboard). Known for breaking global artists like Ben Böhmer, Lane 8, Tinlicker and Dusky, the label has a reputation as “an A&R hotbed” (Resident Advisor).

Now, the label launches its new imprint titled ‘Anjunadeep Explorations’ this July. ’The ‘Explorations’ imprint is an evolution of the much-loved Various Artist EP series of the same name, which spanned 25 editions between 2016-2023 on Anjunadeep. Responsible for bringing through now-mainstay acts to the label such as Ben Böhmer, CRi, Luttrell, Rezident and Simon Doty, the series has also featured underground talents like Theo Kottis, Sam Goku and Gacha Bakradze. The label will focus on unearthing the next generation of electronic music talent, as well as introducing established acts to the Anjuna roster.

Lithuanian producer Mark Novas, previously RE/BORN, releases 'Sweet Mistake EP' as his second solo artist release. The title track was premiered on flagship label compilation Anjunadeep 14 in April this year, selected by Jody Wisternoff and label boss James Grant, and has since clocked over 320k streams across DSP's whilst being supported by label-favourite artists such as Qrion.

'Sweet Mistake' is a warm, stripped back deep house track featuring Mark's own vocals and a stirring lead line. The release follows this with 'Give Me A Feeling', a powerful breakbeat cut driven by a dark, distorted bassline, emotive strings and an ear catching vocal sample. Novas skilfully ties together striking melodic composition with an impressive and inviting depth to his productions, making the release an exciting sign of what's to come from the up-and-coming artist.

'Sweet Mistake EP' is out 20th October on Anjunadeep.

Acclaimed Austin (TX) based producer Qrion shares her first taster of new music since the release of her 2021 debut album, with her single ‘Miyanosawa’ - a multi-layered, emotional builder filled with twinkling chords and a rippling beat, portraying a story swathed in memories, nostalgia and inspiration. Named after a small town in Sapporo, Japan, where she is from, ‘Miyanosawa’ was the final stop in a daily journey for Qrion to get to high school.

“Miyanosawa is a song about memories and nostalgia, about moments of realisation and inspiration, and ultimately about seeing the light and saying goodbye to your past. It’s been ten years since I made that daily journey, during which time I’ve experienced a lot of ups and downs. I finally feel like I’m able to say goodbye to my past.” - Qrion

The single follows two performances in London this month, at Village Underground and MOTH Club as part of all female line-ups for International Women’s Day, raising money for The Girls’ Network.

Because of Art returns to Anjunadeep with his second solo release on the label, ‘Azure EP’.

Having collaborated with Jody Wisternoff and James Grant once before on previous EP title track ‘Free’, the trio team up again on ‘HRSN’. The track is a blend of warm piano, lush pads and a smooth breakbeat, tied together with vocals from Ayah Marar, a multi-platinum singer/songwriter. Also on the EP, ‘Azure’ and ‘Ranger’ showcase Because of Art’s affinity for catchy, inviting deep house.

Having played sets at iconic London venue The Steel Yard late last year supporting Simon Doty and more recently alongside Tommy Farrow at his concept show in Brixton, Because of Art takes to the sunny shores of Albania for Anjunadeep Explorations in June. The London-based producer has received regular support from SiriusXM Chill and BBC Radio 1’s Danny Howard and Sarah Story, and within the last year has collaborated with Sasha, as well as remixing Sophie Ellis Bextor and Robbie Williams.

Anjunadeep Explorations celebrates its one-year anniversary with the release of Anjunadeep Explorations Vol. 1, the first instalment in a new annual compilation series.

Launched in July 2024, Anjunadeep’s newest imprint has quickly established itself as a home for boundary-pushing sounds across the deep and melodic spectrum, from progressive house and breakbeat to deep house and electronica. In the label’s first year, nearly 40 artists have released music ranging from exciting newcomers to seasoned industry names.

Maty Owl, Parallel Voices, Klangsberg, and LAR have all returned for follow-up EPs, while artists such as Chris Luno, Quivver, MXV, and IPeiqi trace their beginnings to Anjunadeep’s original 25-part Explorations VA series, which helped launch the careers of artists like Ben Böhmer, Rezident and CRi. Making their first Anjunadeep appearances of any sort, we had the likes of Keanler Reiny, Mike Griego, artemis orion, and Mike Rish join us. Anjunadeep Explorations has firmly made its mark through editorial support in DJ Mag, Mixmag, and Decoded, a SiriusXM Chill takeover, two vinyl samplers, and a debut label showcase at London’s 93 Feet East in April 2025.

Thank you to all the artists who’ve helped shape our first year, and to the listeners who’ve been part of the journey.
