i was recently asked to do some 'space music', and as a warm-up i did a wee Eno-esque improv on Modartt Pianoteq drenched in Magnus' Ambience reverb.

A Three-Legged Workhorse

This is Heretoirs s/t debut full-length, released on 25.02.2011.

The album deals with the topic of loss: A protagonist loses a beloved person and goes through different emotional and psychological phases in order to cope with it. Accordingly, the lyrics reflect the thoughts and feelings of the protagonist and give an insight into the fine line between sorrow, hate and hope, while the cover art of Fursy Teyssier (Les Discrets,
Amesoeurs) and the album artwork of Metastazis (worked for Alcest, Anathema, Antaeus, Enthroned, Forgotten Woods,
Gorgoroth, Taake, Immolation, Secrets of the Moon, Warner Bros.) perfectly complement the atmosphere of the album.

I was bored so I opened up audacity, laid down "Ending (An Ascent)" on one track, then laid it down again on a second track, but reversed it, to see what the outcome would be like.  Here's the result...

Heroes + Villains, a concept and story around the good and the bad.
‘REX’ remix of David Bowie & Brian Eno’s iconic 1977 track, Heroes.
This remix is a progressive and contemporary dance record,
combined with a hand-made frame-work.
My aim for this project has been to create a piece of collaborative work.
The work tells a story of fusing the organic and man-made character
of a Hero, through concept , execution and the audio & visual aesthetics.
