The new Samurai Music series of 12"s - Samurai Hannya - are based on the mythical masks of a Noh drama (a form of traditional Japanese theatre). Hannya masks capture the stages of transformation of a female character as she undergoes a metamorphosis into a demon / ogre.

I'm releasing everything that has been in the pipeline for ages & hasn't found a home yet. As one may judge, all these tracks have been made in diffent things in mind & in different times, so, embrace yourselves for a journey through diverse sounds. It can get bumpy.

However the resemblence of all this to an album is uncanny, this whole endeavor, in my mind's eye, is a winter clean-up of some sort and one that was much needed.

And as such, let's leave 2020 behind -which i'm aware is an arbitrary number at best, and a full-fledged dumpster fire at worst- and shoot for somewhat more enjoyable days.

We're honoured to have Ohm Resistance Label Boss and multidisciplinary musician and producer: Submerged joins us for our first mix session of 2021. Submerged has been an active music and record producer, bass guitarist and label curator for over 20 years. With projects involving the likes of Bill Laswell and JK Flesh in 'The Blood of Heroes' along with many more and even some to be announced.

As mentioned, included in this mix is an exclusive first play of the track 'Distortion' by Scorn, Kool Keith and Submerged taken from the single with the same name forthcoming on Ohm Resistance. That's right, you heard it here first!

IntransikBeats is a record label that aims to highlight raw and uncompromising Techno which displays a dark and gloomy musical image. Our network of like-minded people strives to innovate and contribute to a ever growing community of producers and artists, always remembering where we came from and where we want to be.

Starting out as group of independent artists and DJs, involved in and fostering the alternative music scene in Shanghai, China where Intransik has been fortunate enough to be able to host events for many years.

Sound design and audio engineering is an integral part of the team’s creative output. Naturally this curiosity in original soundtracks and post production lead to the involvement in creating and applying various sonic concepts to different media projects.

We have made it our goal to try to capture the sound of these events and the musical output of the artists involved. This vision will be showcased on our label and upcoming vinyl releases starting, along with label events, art installations and various cross-media projects.
