"Camera Obscura" is an exploration of the grey areas of perception, an inner journey captured in the dark mirror of an endless forest. This EP dives into a flow of raw EBM, industrial textures, mechanical beats and cold synthetic layers, where each track acts as a sonic snapshot of a dissolving world. Between nocturnal ritual and inner wandering, the music becomes the negative of an altered memory. Elevated by the post-production of Scan X, a legendary figure of techno, Ad Fiction’s universe takes on a new dimension.

Released in July 2019, James Monro hit the heights with his four-track "Ascension" EP. Now receiving remixes from Canadian and Belarusian stars, "Drift" takes centre stage.

A producer whose honesty, integrity and talent are renowned throughout the underground dance industry, Tim Penner's reputation continues to grow apace. Able to cast a spell over audiences with his immaculate DJ sets, his live performances in support of his "Radio Silence" album for JOOF Recordings in late 2018 and early 2019 saw Penner cement his pre-eminent status. Able to cross-genres with consummate skill and ease, his work for the likes of Black Hole, Perspectives Digital and Gai Barone's Afterglow has seen a double-century of production credits flow from the Canadian's fingertips in mesmerising fashion. Moreover, his own Slideways imprint has been a popular vehicle for Penner's own material while acting as a proving ground for a wealth of undiscovered and emerging talents.

A long-time contributor to Proton Music, February 2013 saw a debut remixing Apologist's "Natural Instinct" while three original EPs since October 2013 found Penner at his creative best, not least in March 2017's "Lost Again". Returning to the label for the first time in two-and-a-half years, the Tim Penner remix takes "Drift" on a coruscating journey of melodic intrigue that sparkles with immaculate production technique and minute attention to detail. Making intelligent use of the themes inherent in Monro's original, Penner extends their scope with a swathe of textured pads and swirling, modulated phrases that reach their zenith in a rousing crescendo. A vocal cut hypnotises in gloriously frozen delays while a pounding beat and trademark rolling groove provide the foundations for a hugely impressive return to Proton Music form.

Mikahil Akulich need little introduction to Proton followers. Through his Michael A pseudonym, the Belarusian has continued to forge a path that has seen him rise to the upper echelons of the underground dance fraternity with his prolific and powerful work. Indeed, over a staggering 800 production credits sit proudly against the Michael A name in a seven-year career that began with the "DJs Came Down From Mars" for Stereofaza in March 2012. Since then, Michael has found his work allied to such leading imprints as Darin Epsilon's Perspectives Digital, Cid Inc.'s Replug and Hernan Cattaneo's Sudbeat, with support from the likes of Guy J, Nick Warren and Cattaneo himself.

A regular on Particles and Proton Music, four further original EPs have graced the latter since February 2017's "Bright Hope" debut, culminating in May 2019's "Geometria" which included remixes from Juan Deminicis and Carlo Whale. Remixes of Dousk, Rauschhaus and James Warren in the past eighteen months have cemented a concrete reputation and it is a privilege to welcome back Michael A with a spellbinding interpretation of "Drift" that revels in a slightly more uptempo character than the original, while melodic flourishes from Monro's work echo throughout the seven-and-a-half minute track. A gloriously sustained and emotive bassline marks a spine-tingling breakdown while a raft of additional motifs and production material extend "Drift" in new and exciting directions.

We are more than happy to share with you our upcoming release as it is another milestone for Soundteller Records - STR234 features the music of true legends.
On the "A Better Place EP" you find an original by Lemon8 and its interpretations by D-Nox & ZAC and Andrea Cassino.
There is also an additional treat as Lemon8 has prepared for us an extra version of the original titled "Inner Sanctuary Mix."
The names do not need any introduction as the artists can be called The Founding Fathers of progressive house.

The original is just as perfect as you expect it, being a mixture of good old progressive house and a modern style.
The remix by D-Nox & Zac takes the original sound into the direction of a modern deep tech house with a massive vibe. Andrea Cassino's remix fits the EP perfectly, giving it a deep prog soul. Last but not least comes the Inner Sanctuary Mix, closing the release in a breathtaking way.

Anjunadeep warmly welcomes Simon Doty for his standalone label debut with stellar double cut 'Sonoma / Luna’. 

Following releases on Einmusika and Last Night On Earth, Doty first appeared on Anjunadeep Explorations 11 with 2019’s collaboration with Zein ‘Sama’. This time around the Toronto-based producer teams up with Ezequiel Arias on the arpeggio-laden ’Sonoma’, contrasting it’s fluttering instrumentation with the dark addictive bassline found in ‘Luna’.

A fairly new name to the Anjunadeep catalogue, Simon Doty's penchant for driving melodic house foretells a huge 2020 for the Calgary-native.

A friendship is one thing, but continuous development is vitally important. This is why the fellows decided not to take a break at the level of current achievements and grounded their own record label. «By the times someone discovers the points of coincidence with the colleagues not only in terms of business, but also creative sphere – that is always a positive experience! – Unification of musical efforts in frames of one label is our next and by no means unimportant step in creative self-fulfillment».

It is important to mention that the quad is not going to limit the newborn imprint’s catalog only with own productions. Intricate Records is also a promising platform for implementation of creative aspiration of other talented producers who feel themselves on the same wave quite often.

«Right at the moment there is no single record label which coincides with my musical taste and general conception, which I would like to see being embodied. Starting a new imprint with the fellow guys, I’m looking forward to the having the possibility of fulfilling myself as an A&R-manager and making the current musical world at least a little bit better. We are going to collaborate with our friends and associates from around the world. I certainly believe, if such projects are held with well-intentioned mood and built on relations of friendship, there are certain chances to make something special and terminative».
