RELEASE DESCRIPTION

The 34th release on Perspectives Digital showcases the winning entries from the label’s first ever remix competition.  Announced in April 2015, the contest gave hopeful producers a chance to remix the imprint’s most critically acclaimed and best-selling track, 'Outliers' by Cid Inc and label boss Darin Epsilon.  The competition was a huge success receiving well over 250 entries from artists all over the world.  Michael & Levan and Stiven Rivic vs. Rick Pier O'Neil were announced as the grand prize winners after an arduous judging process, with Subandrio, SummerMarian, and Solid Stone receiving the runner-up spots. 

The third and final runner-up spot was awarded to Solid Stone, who is also making his first appearance on Perspectives.  Canadian producer Elias Barouche aka Solid Stone is already quite accomplished with a discography that includes releases on Armada Music, Coldharbour Recordings, and Perfecto Records. His interpretation of 'Outliers' stood out from the pack with its boundless energy and pristine production.  One of the highlights was a carefully executed and spine-tingling break.  The minute and a half build was filled with electricity, eventually culminating with a sheet of white noise and churning acid lines delivering what is sure to be a magical moment on the dancefloor.

Spanish producers Adrien Rux & Bedmar have joined forces with David Tuck and Kuaigon to create their brand-new progressive anthem ‘Set Me Free’. The track is out now via Steve Angello’s renowned SIZE Records label.

  ‘Set Me Free’ is a deep and rumbling progressive house production, utilises an atmospheric build and emotive vocals to create a thumping release which would feel equally at home on festival main-stages or spreading across club dancefloors.   

Having previously worked with Bedmar and Swedish producer Sebjak on their collaboration ‘Last Summer’, Adrien Rux’s connection with music began at an early age, when his experimentation with synths led him to start writing his own songs. Recently, Adrien and Bedmar remixed Corey James & Marcus Schossow’s single ‘Time Goes By’, the Spanish duo were the subject of high acclaim for their role in the production. 

  Joining the duo on ‘Set Me Free’ are rising DJ’s David Tuck and Kuaigon, who have previously teamed up on their single ‘Ko’ De Cat’. Mostly inspired by the Dirty Dutch and Swedish House movements, Kuaigon kicked off his music career aged 13 by learning how to mix and produce his original material. His tracks have gained support from the likes of Dannic, Breathe Carolina and Will K to name a few.

  Adrien Rux & Bedmar, David Tuck, Kuaigon are a part of a new wave of leading progressive house producers to come from Spain in recent times. A unique and dynamic blend between all four artists’ own talents, individually, and as a collective, ‘Set Me Free’ is the perfect soundtrack to round off the year and cements all four DJ’s as artists to watch for 2018.

Sound Quelle, one of the most prolific and decorated contributors to our label, treats us to "Iridescent," his transcendent debut artist album. An artist whose compositional gifts traverse the electronic dance music spectrum, he is perhaps best known for his trance & progressive works, thanks to consistent radio support from Armin van Buuren and Above & Beyond in recent years. Yet, on our label, the Russian phenom has carved his niche exploring deeper sonic terrain, and it is from that wellspring that his new "Iridescent" LP has blossomed. 

Consisting of a dozen mesmerizing tunes, the album evinces a strong world music influence, as the various deep and progressive-flavored cuts are imbued with hints of the exotic, including the frequent use of quasi-ethnic motifs. The album also showcases two new collaborations with Canadian singer-songwriter and recent muse Brandon Mignacca, whose achingly beautiful vocal stylings perfectly complement Sound Quelle's poignant instrumental themes. Sound Quelle's penchant for the cinematic can be experienced vis-à-vis the album's opening and concluding cuts, which again demonstrate his remarkable range.

Thus, it is our enormous honor to present "Iridescent," a full listen of which leaves the listener with a palpable sense of spiritual awe.
