Vested Recording label head and Chicago-based artist, RJ Pickens, takes the reigns of the Early Morning Reconstruction and turns in a mix laced with deep growling bass, driving percussion, melodic balance, thick vocal layers, and use of many of CiCi’s original track elements – with a vibe perfect for an underground club or an outdoor sunrise set.  Chicago-based progressive rising-star, Jeff Ozmits, turns in a simply sublime, slightly higher tempo melodic beast of a mix, perfect for a peak hour progressive set, complete with powerful synth lines, a more uptempo vibe, and a guitar line that will give you proper goosebumps, aptly titled the Late Night Reconstruction. David Ciekanski AKA Matt Fax has transformed the world of progressive house, rising from underground star to a leading figure in the scene. With a unique sonic identity and prolific work rate, he has firmly cemented himself as a champion of the genre. Now Colorize is delighted to present 'Progressions', the second studio album from Matt Fax!

'Progressions' is the culmination of three successful years for the young musician after releasing his debut album 'Contrast' in 2017, during which he has released critically-acclaimed, successful singles that have resulted in tens of million of streams and spins on SiriusXM, BBC Radio 1 and Radio FG. He has received praise from fellow industry leaders including Armin van Buuren, Above & Beyond, Lane 8 and Chris Lake and he launched the inaugural, ambitious Colorscapes series with Colorize label-mate Dezza in 2019. This is all while touring the world from Europe to Japan to the US, playing standout events like ASOT 900 and Electronic Family in the Netherlands and embarking on a three month tour of the US with Jason Ross.

His second album sees the youthful producer emerge with a confident, assured approach, his experience allowing him to effortlessly craft fresh, breathtaking prog anthems that swell from nuanced to grandiose. With truly stellar production across the project with its finely-calibrated synth textures, banging, refined bass and an inescapable, relentless groove, Matt Fax finds a luscious sweet spot across these seventeen tracks.

Featuring singles including the driving 'Animal' with singer / songwriter Trove, the marauding, ethereal ambiance of 'The Wave' with Ava Silver, and throbbing and vocal-heavy production 'Set Your Sails' with duo RBBTS, Matt Fax employs contributions from a collection of exciting collaborators to great effect, punctuating the album precisely between his dynamic solo efforts. On their debut Dekkai lead with the outstanding opening title track 'Paradox; a stunning driving melodic progressive house affair. The track utilizes a deep groove as foundation, underpinned by a profound bass and smooth synth chords that gradually ease their way to the summit. Unified by a relentless kick drum and dusky atmospheric emotion, the composition climaxes by adding recurrent percussive elements and soft soaked melodies that come together to create a structured sphere of sonic satisfaction. «Right at the moment there is no single record label which coincides with my musical taste and general conception, which I would like to see being embodied. Starting a new imprint with the fellow guys, I’m looking forward to the having the possibility of fulfilling myself as an A&R-manager and making the current musical world at least a little bit better. We are going to collaborate with our friends and associates from around the world. I certainly believe, if such projects are held with well-intentioned mood and built on relations of friendship, there are certain chances to make something special and terminative».
