The Spanish PARALEL (@paralel_mind) is back on the label with his second EP titled ‘Electric’. The EP consists of two signature and colorful originals in collaboration with vocalist Davide Famularo. As an addition to these originals, we are very glad to welcome Angelov (@angelovmusic) and Carlo Whale (@carlowhale) to the label with two divergent, but great remixes.

The first track of the release is ‘Electric’. The dynamic arrangement takes you on a trip which starts off with the calming vocals of Davide, after which the rhythmic synthwork leads itself into the break while giving a euphoric feeling. From there the track works slowly to the final part of this lively piece, going up again towards the end of the track.

In his remix of ‘Electric’, Angelov gave it his signature twist. The energy level goes up from the start immediately. He managed to use the vocals in such a way the whole feeling of the vocals changed. Nevertheless, they still fit perfectly to the elements taken from the original. Throughout the composition a quite fierce characteristic synth comes through, giving the remix some extra roughness.

The third track is titled ‘Nothing is Real’. In this one, PARALEL also created a flamboyant play between the calming vocals and the rhythmic snynthwork. This play works towards quite a tight drop, after which the organic percussion comes up again, forming a very danceable unity with a darker undertone. 

Carlo Whale turned the focus a bit more towards the vocals in his remix of ‘Nothing Is Real’ and gave it modern melodic techno surroundings. In this way the vocals come out more ecstatic. In combination with the dreamy lead, the remix became uplifting and romantic at the same time.

'By My Side: This track went through a lot of versions until it got to the final version. When I got the beautiful vocals by the amazing singer Sanja, I had the main groove, the organic percussion-layers and most sounds sorted and was really happy how the vocals gave the track a story but was never really happy with the drop I created around them
Reaching: The main force behind the creation of this track is the breakbeat-sample, which inspired the bassline and thus settled the groove for the track. After that I searched for all the other defining sounds. The goal was to combine typical techno-one-shots with uncommon organic sounds while creating a dreamy yet driving atmosphere that builds energy throughout. And in the break I gave the breakbeat-sample an unfiltered feature combined with a reese-bass to add a surprising twist to the whole track'

It is important to mention that the quad is not going to limit the newborn imprint’s catalog only with own productions. Intricate Records is also a promising platform for implementation of creative aspiration of other talented producers who feel themselves on the same wave quite often.

«Right at the moment there is no single record label which coincides with my musical taste and general conception, which I would like to see being embodied. Starting a new imprint with the fellow guys, I’m looking forward to the having the possibility of fulfilling myself as an A&R-manager and making the current musical world at least a little bit better. We are going to collaborate with our friends and associates from around the world. I certainly believe, if such projects are held with well-intentioned mood and built on relations of friendship, there are certain chances to make something special and terminative».
