Gruuv-founders Audiojack will be releasing the second single from their forthcoming album this April. Feels Good, produced in collaboration with esteemed singer-songwriter Jem Cooke, will land on Crosstown Rebels and includes a remix from melodic techno talent Patrice Bäumel. This is the second single to be released ahead of the album with Under Your Skin, made with Kevin Knapp, being the first.

Speaking on the release, Audiojack stated that: “Crosstown introduced us to Jem a few years ago through a remix. Jem is an amazing songwriter, her flawless vocals are great to work with and resonate well with our sound.”

Jem Cooke echoed the duo’s praise, describing how: “The collaboration with Audiojack came about after their remix of So Long - a track I did with Made By Pete. The boys are amazing and I loved what they did with that remix so when they asked if I'd be up for trying something new together, I obviously said yes.”

Feels Good sets off swiftly, merging prominent kick-clap combos with shimmering pulses throughout. It’s a real peak-time number, enhanced by Jem’s touching vocal offering, that showcases the stripped-back and ethereal theme of the single. Patrice Bäumel’s remix soon arrives and brings with it a poignant combination of celestial pads and rolling synth tones, as Jem’s stunning lyrical contributions magnify the track’s moving nature once more.

Leeds-born and now based in Ibiza, Audiojack have been at the forefront of electronic music for over a decade. In recent times the Gruuv-label founders have released their Isolation Tapes series to widespread industry acclaim, using music to provide a way out from the feelings of anxiety caused by lockdown and separation. UK singer-songwriter Jem Cooke is no stranger to Crosstown Rebels. First debuting on the label in 2018 alongside Made By Pete on So Long, it was later that year that Audiojack went on to remix the single. More recently, Jem collaborated with Damian on Into The Sun from his 2020 Flourish LP. A well-established member of the Crosstown Rebels family, Patrice Bäumel is one of Germany’s greatest exponents. Recent productions on Watergate Records and Systematic Recordings continue to showcase the emotive sound with which he’s become best known, whilst his performance at DGTL’s virtual festival last year marked another step in his ever-flourishing career.

Warm summer breeze gives way to gentle autumnal zephyr as Mango Alley brings together a collage of sounds that provide a nostalgic summer expedition and compelling retro vibe from Mistol Team and his trip to "Italpark".

Argentinean, Martin Amado captures the essence of warm progressive melodies in his Original Mix. Beautiful shimmering motifs weave their way on a journey that reaches a crescendo as a thunderstorm sweeps away the sultry summer evening air to leave a brighter, fresher day ahead.

Berlin duo Unique Repeat enter with a new interpretation of "Italpark". Formulating a vibrant path through Mistol Team's original, their remix comprises a strong current of melodies and additional refrains. Against the backdrop of dominant rhythm, they undulate, rippling through the colour-changing leaves with lilting arpeggios and subtly shifting patterns.

Polish phenomenon Kobana takes up the mantle to complete the trio of tracks. A huge bass-line anchors the track like tree-lined roads swaying in rhythmic unison; their rustling leaves providing a rising percussive background as the wind strengthens through them to a rousing swell before dropping quickly away once more.

Seasons end but autumn chill and winter cold lay far beyond the happiness and warmth of "Italpark".

The very talented Italian producer, Luca Lombardi, is up next on Neuroscience Deep with an absolutely stunning release! Luca, who's previously released on other labels such as Bonzai, Alter Ego and Armada, has seen his releases supported by DJs such as Paul Oakenfold, Richard Durand, M.I.K.E. and Daniel Kandi. We'll be very surprised if this trend doesn't continue with 'Nowhere People'!

We're going to try and keep the description to a minimum here, and let the music do the talking. We're finding it very difficult to capture the beauty of 'Nowhere People' in words. All we can say, is that Luca Lombardi has created a gorgeous progressive track, filled with great melodies. Summer may be over now, but with this track, we're definitely trying to keep that sunshine feeling!

Backing up the original mix, are equally tasty remixes from I-Vision, David Folkebrant and Vitodito. Each of the guys have taken the original and put their own unique stamp on it. The result... Is an all round fantastic release!

Hailing from Lille, France we see a welcome return to our PHW Elements division as David aka Bob The Groove delivers another melody frozen progressive gem on the label. Being a producer that has been with us for many times but been away for a while now, we saw the opportunity to bring him back again. We are of course both excited and honoured to see him team up with us again. 

“Birth” is a super melodic and driving little gem, packed with all the deep textures that we so often see from him. It’s a well rounded progressive journey where he showcases a lot of his knowledge behind the DAW. 

On remix duty we see a return from Hungary based producer Ricardo Piedra. He’s an artist frequently with us on our Elements division and we are thrilled to see him there yet again. With a deep and moody remake, keeping it with the melody driven them that he always delivers, he surely nails it again. Be ready for a real treat with deep textures and a fantastic atmosphere.

 We also welcome Rikken back in the house as he also delivers his interpretation to this rock solid package. Since moving to the more melodic and uplifting side of progressiv, he’s quickly been getting recognition for his deeper textured progressive music and we are thrilled to see him join back. With a slightly more melodic techno-ish remix, still keeping it very progressive, he surely showcases his A-game here and we do feel he is just on a start on a producing career that will last for very long, brilliant!

A showcase of fresh talent from the global electronic scene, Anjunadeep’s Explorations series returns for its sixteenth instalment, featuring six Anjunadeep debutants in Falden, Promnite, My Friend, TRU Concept, David Orin and Lauren Mia.

Kicking off the compilation is Dutch producer Falden with ‘So Far Away’. Featuring airy vocals from Diana Miro, Falden demonstrates why he’s been supported by BBC Radio 1 and KCRW. In a marked contast, LA-based producer Promnite delivers the synth-led track ‘India’. After hurtling onto the scene in 2014, Promnite has worked alongside Mr. Carmack, Djemba Djemba and Penthouse Penthouse.
Next up, British duo My Friend mark their Anjunadeep debut with ‘To The Moon’, leading with a catchy vocal hook and breakbeat drums. TRU Concept brings his melodic track ‘Runaway’ to the EP. Leading with the vocals of Romany, TRU Concept showcases why he’s been supported by Diplo and MistaJam on BBCR1.

Characterised by fluttering arpeggios and metallic synths, David Orin delivers his euphoric track ‘Arctic’, demonstrating why he’s been supported by the likes of Joris Voorn, Lee Burridge and Hernan Cattaneo. Closing the EP is Los Angles based DJ and producer Lauren Mia with her track ‘Lolo Graziano’, featuring an emotive piano melody and atmospheric pads.

A friendship is one thing, but continuous development is vitally important. This is why the fellows decided not to take a break at the level of current achievements and grounded their own record label. «By the times someone discovers the points of coincidence with the colleagues not only in terms of business, but also creative sphere – that is always a positive experience! – Unification of musical efforts in frames of one label is our next and by no means unimportant step in creative self-fulfillment».

It is important to mention that the quad is not going to limit the newborn imprint’s catalog only with own productions. Intricate Records is also a promising platform for implementation of creative aspiration of other talented producers who feel themselves on the same wave quite often.

«Right at the moment there is no single record label which coincides with my musical taste and general conception, which I would like to see being embodied. Starting a new imprint with the fellow guys, I’m looking forward to the having the possibility of fulfilling myself as an A&R-manager and making the current musical world at least a little bit better. We are going to collaborate with our friends and associates from around the world. I certainly believe, if such projects are held with well-intentioned mood and built on relations of friendship, there are certain chances to make something special and terminative».
