This inspired EP is a welcome addition to the genre, and the catalog, as we re-start our release schedule with finesse, and finish off the year strong.

In a music landscape torn between the Zoomer-led drum and bass revival and the guardians of its underground roots, Note has somehow managed to find his own lane. Since his debut in 2021, Note has left an indelible mark on the scene, recognized for his ever-evolving, soulful sound that effortlessly blends avant-garde jazz, hip-hop, and R&B into meticulously crafted drum and bass/jungle compositions.

In the midst of a frenetic drum and bass scene, Note sought refuge in authenticity, returning to The North Quarter to create his boldest and most diverse work to date. Drawing inspiration from post-impressionist art, 'Impressions Of A Still Life' unfolds like a series of vivid paintings, capturing the essence of stillness through lush instrumentation, deep bass, and chopped breaks.

In these five tracks crafted for the dance-floor, Note paints a vibrant portrait that celebrates the joy found in life's simpler, quieter moments. 'Impressions Of A Still Life' is not just an EP; it's a sonic journal that captures the essence of Note's journey towards authenticity, gratitude, and the blissful stillness at the heart of his music.

Next up on Intrigue Music is a very special 12" to mark the label's 30th release. The Insiders step up with the amen anthem 'Hands of Time', featuring the amazing singer songwriter Collette Warren. Beautiful vocals, lush soundscapes and intricate pads soar over frantic beats and pounding bass to create a classic Insiders roller. It evokes strong memories of their early releases on labels like Renegade Recordings and 31 Records, but with new and updated production techniques. This is backed by a moodier, darker rhythm entitled 'Longting', which as the name suggests has been in the making for a very long time. Minimal beats and pitched down vocal samples combine with virus bass stabs to create a deadly dancefloor destroyer.
