For Avenue Red Podcast 126 we welcome Michael Sieler AKA M.S. from the super cool and quirky city of Portland, Oregon near the west coast of the USA. Michael is a very keen eclectic music collector and DJ whom we discovered via his awesome deep/dub techno selections on his SoundCloud page. It seems that he has elevated his game even higher than usual for this one... an absorbing, soothing, spaced-out 80-minute trip crafted exclusively for us lucky Avenue Red folks.

"A couple years ago, I was at the coast with some friends. After a late night of dancing and partying, I remember we all went to the beach (at the location seen in the artwork for this podcast) to watch the sun rise. You could hear the sound of the ocean, the calm waves splashing, and the trickle of the tide as it rolled in and out.

It was chilly but beautiful. The sounds of dub techno fit perfectly as the rising sun began to warm our bodies and wake us to the new day. This mix recaptures that moment, takes us back in time to that morning on the beach listening to some melodic dub techno." Michael Sieler, 2019

Ghosts Of Breslau is an electronic/ambient project of Patryk Balawender. This “chronicler of a ghost town” started in 2001, and on early records he was focused on soundscapes evoking spirit of difficult history of his home city in Poland, Wroc³aw (“Breslau” in German). Initially inspired by industrial genres, after longer hiatus GOB returned in 2013 with new, more esoteric, drone-oriented sound.

Ghosts Of Breslau’s music was released by labels in Poland, Spain, Argentina and China. His latest album is called "Niflheim".

In 2019 Patryk created IRRWELT - a microlabel focused mainly on his own music, released under names Ghosts Of Breslau, Hands Like Clouds and Arboria. More projects and collaborations are on the way.
