Mental - Lāsya Virtual Festival @ 9128.live - Exclusive DJ Set

The experience took place virtually on June 11th 2021 worldwide from the radio platform 9128.live.

Marco Mental is a DJ and a music appassionato.
In 2012 he establishes Visionary Mind Lab & Records in Budapest focused on scouting, developing and finally releasing the know-how of a few young talents based in Hungary. Visionary Mind Records has produced 30 releases and still operates in Budapest.
Since 2013 he actively collaborates with OZORA Festival (Hungary) as part of the stage management team at the Dome and resident selector with the taks of opening the Dome program for 6 editions in a row and counting.
Since 2015 he is part of MoDem Festival crew (Croatia), where he took over performers’ logistics management and the alternative music program (today“Seed” stage).
In 2018 Mental joins Atman Tribe to contribute to the a development of Atman Festival alternative music program in Sri Lanka.
In 2019 join forces with the psytrance label Parvati Records in order to forge the foundation of its alternative sound-research dedicated sub-label, Orbita Parvati.

The term Lāsya, in the context of Hindu mythology, describes the dance performed by Goddess Parvati as it expresses love, care, happiness and is filled with grace and beauty. The Lāsya was the second phase of creation, in response to Shiva's Tandava dance that gave birth to the Universe. It combined to form the triad, "laya", "pralaya" & “shunya” - the cyclic motion of things from resonance to dissolution, from stillness to movement, from sound to silence, and such represents the dialectical "being-nonbeing-becoming". In a literal sense, Lāsya means softer, it is the divine feminine nature in all of us which manifests as beauty, happiness, enchanting, and grace.
We may be silenced by law, but our nature is movement. ~ We are joining together on this dance, 11 by number, for a 13h of exclusive live stream takeover on 9128.live.

Mark Day proposes us once again, a new immersive experience based upon gateways into different spaces inside and outside the mind. 

His ambient mixtapes always trigger feelings and memories based upon well anchored past scenes and a forgotten memory that you are not quite sure you had - all the while being dripped in emotion. 

Every track establishes a very special and continious atmosphere which allows the listener a smooth journey as they traverse the gatways; one opens before slowly closing and smoothly transitioning into the next.

Sandbox is a music collective, focusing on biweekly streams of the latest and greatest tunes of the Budapest underground, with well known names as well as new talent.

On Mesterházy's record shelves you can find almost every style of music, as well as in the DJ bags he has been carrying to clubs, festivals and illegal parties for the third decade. At dance events his main direction is a mix of "old school" electro, acid and Detroit techno. Throughout his life he has embarked on, left behind, reshaped and reinvented countless projects. Such as the Syrup.hu record label, his club night. He hides behind the pseudonym Mesterháza when he ventures in a more experimental, film music direction, and behind the MZ/Y mask when he indulges in improvisational steel electro synth live acts.
