Our latest podcast is a powerfully enigmatic journey into the sensitive and beautifully peculiar world of our dear friend @eva-porating 🌱

Originally from Slovakia, Eva found her second home at the heart of Prague’s electronic music scene where she is one of the most sought after and well-respected DJs. Apart from being a resident at the mighty @ankali she is hosting her regular Anemone show on the local @radiopunctum and recently became part of the newly found @gravitynetworkeu initiative. 

In this chapter, Eva will patiently guide us through the landscapes within, robust and abundant with potential for mystical experiences. Heady weaves of post-industrial and leftfield narratives are cushioned with clouds of affectionate ambiances and sprinkled with tribal percussions and spoken word. They are memories whispered into the breeze, gently rolling across the hills and lakes and forests of imagination 🎴✨

Podcast Series 13 | Eva Porating

So for the final mix of the year in the Take a Trip series we have @hinakoomori , a musician with a love for synthesizers and anything that makes interesting sounds. 

Hinako's own production combines ambientspace-synths with field recordings and her own ethereal vocals. Thematically, her music is influenced by the idea of space and infinity, floating into separate universes — everything being transparent and lucid, and the idea that nothing is permanent.

For the mix Hinako decided to do a sonic representation of a dream they had recently, that they scrawled into their iPhone notes when they woke up one morning… all the tracks are chosen around the theme of the dream.

The Dream: Walking around the Swiss alps on a day off, and I get lost trying to record the sound of icicles. I take a train towards the mountains to a large film auditorium, where the whole class is sat round wearing headphones.The ground is springy and spongy.

As always, sit back, relax and take a load off. Enjoy.

Flamingos veins jumped on a quad to Iharu following the primordial booze. Going through an enchanted hundreds of fires paved with lovely stones and enough jacks to record a low brass, passing the longitude until the LA airport tunnel - which is still actually command controlled with a satoshi dub. All this to borrow Brent's internet badman starter pack, spend the soirée going forward like a Robinson, surviving the ressac and a little slip, like a man that couldn’t live enough to push the button pleasure.

Node co-runs @gatedrecordings with his childhood friend Jadey. While he resides in Japan and Jadey in the UK they have been putting out as much high quality music as they can find from the best up and coming artists, primarily within the realms of electronic music and often experimenting outside the boundaries of specific genres. 

For this mix Node has assembled some tracks from Gated’s latest compilation ‘Triangle’s Peak’, plus one from the new spacey, techy EP by Taupe, 'Rootless', out now on their Bandcamp. Not to mention one from Dip Shim's new album out Dec 16th and available to pre-order on Juno records at the moment. On top of that there are a few favorite braindancey or spacey ones too from other artists held in high regard. Just good music!

Myoptik has been making mad music since the 90s. A lifetime of jams, collaborations & live performances inform his refreshing, sometimes obtuse, take on electronic sound. His releases for many labels, inc his own Ping-Discs, reflect some of the more harnessed offerings that have spewed out of his refracted sound-world.

Pingdiscs is Myoptik's label for exciting, happy and outrageous music. Many excellent artists have been part of Pingdiscs over the years, not least through the series of great compilations. There are also solo releases from a wide range of Pingdiscs affiliated artists. Expect variety, much of it electronic, but certainly not always, none of it normal....
