Camu is next up on our Podcast series with a bewitching recording from last years Springkell gathering. The setting is a dim lit, softly furnished room of a Scottish rural estate with a fireplace gently crackling and whispering into the space. Everyone is quiet, sitting or laying still and diving into the sounds emanating from all four corners of the room, fully immersed in the ritual of communal listening 🐚

Camu is a Spanish born and based artist pulling at the deeper strings of ambient, drone and sound art informed electro-acoustic music. He is the co-founder of Madrid-based event space Especio Perpendicular that he co-runs with local group of fellow deep music enthusiats. Highly recommended for anyone in or visiting Madrid and looking for a night out of the ordinary 🌚✨

Charging headstrong into the cavernous spaces filled with drones, overheard field recordings, sounds hanging in earshot by the faintest thread, this journey is at the same time fragile and powerful. The dynamics flow with intent from barely audible to overwhelming, from fluid to abrasive, no stone left unturned in this microscopic survey of sound and emotion 🕯️
