Marking the 50th installment of our Podcast Series is a contribution from our good friend, the London via Manchester DJ and producer Alex Parkin aka Einerlei 🧙🏼‍♂️

With his original music featured on labels including Norite, On Board Music, Control Freak or Sungate, he is a shapeshifting artist equally comfortable dishing out intricate techno bangers (as we’re sure he’d put it himself) as he is weaving emotive ambient-scapes into long form compositions to soothe the soul. Elements of contemporary UK sound and IDM are strongly present in Alex’ productions ~ with their clubbier iterations leaning towards the deeper realms of techno and his ambient sound permeating a sense of deep feels shrouded in mystery 🧘🏽✨

Einerlei delivers over an hour of soothing ambient and downtempo alive with air of mysticism and deep set intrinsic rhythm. Effortlessly floating effervescent clouds of drones are home to voices and utterances oozing seemingly from within their soft intangible depths, patiently holding space for rhythmical energy to grow and release…until the celestial calm reigns again towards the very end of this sonic journey ☁️

Rambadu’s inspiration lies in his fascination with the energetic and healing properties of sound. Years of introspection and meticulous research have shaped his ability to channel the unseen forces of our inner and outer worlds into textured, immersive and deeply hypnotic compositions. His music uses elements such as singing bowls, acoustic instruments, hardware based synthesis, which are also enriched by modulated field recordings. Rambadu’s psychedelic take on deep techno highlights his dedication to exploring the symbiosis of art, nature, and the human spirit. His recent collaborative release, ‘Sai Matika’, produced alongside the renowned Claudio PRC, exemplifies this ethos, the record inspired by nature’s sacred cycles—‘Sai’, the ebb and flow of the earth and moon, and ‘Matika’, the rhythmical sounds of air rising up from the deep. Through his eponymous label, Rambadu continues to encapsulate these values, many of the releases his own and all featuring handmade sleeves adorned by mesmerising stencil artworks.

Interestingly, early influences in Rambadu’s career include a long stint down under, where he interned at the iconic Chameleon Recordings. Under the mentorship of label boss Steve Ward, Rambadu honed his production skills and gained invaluable insights into the music industry. This experience shaped his artistic identity, inspiring him to embrace the endless possibilities in electronic music.

As we delve into a new year, we are delighted to welcome Greek and Athens-based artist Iffie, curator of Into The Abyss. This mix captures an emotional journey through ambient, deep, and experimental sounds—where each track reflects the highs and lows of life’s ever-changing rhythm. In a world filled with noise and chaos, ambient music serves as Iffie’s anchor, a space where she finds peace and grounding. Lynne is a Japanese artist who explores the outer realms of techno, experimental, and drum 'n'bass. First emerging in 2013 as part of Tokyo's underground scene, Lynne established herself quickly, winning the Samurai Music Mix competition and playing regularly at respected Tokyo institutions. Over time her sound evolved from its DnB roots to include more textural, obscure and experimental layers as she became fascinated with building emotive atmospheres and twisting them to her rhythm. Now an Astral Industries and Unknown Species resident, Lynne resides between Tokyo and London. She is an artist who is most comfortable in the grey space between genres, where her rhythm is a gravitational force pulling dancers in all the right directions.

[Les Chaos Ambiants]

The Pauza association presents Les Chaos Ambiants, a festival dedicated to the encounter between electronic music, the visual arts and the rich heritage of Burgundy-Franche-Comté.

This event is designed on a small scale to make it as comfortable as possible to listen, meet and move around, with a single stage to promote emerging and established artists, a natural setting conducive to the discovery of musical works and artistic installations, and an eco-responsible approach to limit its environmental impact.

The project has several objectives : to promote the European and international artistic scene, to stimulate and strengthen the cultural and creative network across the département and the region ; to help promote and showcase the natural and cultural heritage of Burgundy-Franche-Comté ; to support local produce and the local economy.

The Observatory - ABSIS (Live at Human Club, 2025)

Our first ambient mix in the series is a special one, as we’ve been deep appreciators of the genre for many years.

For this milestone episode, @electronicmusicculture303 founders @synthbiontanassimandrus present an immersive journey through 90s ambient gems, more recent drones, minimalistic passages, and cinematic textures. Recorded live at AMBNTL, the ambient night by Liminoid Collective at OOST in Groningen, this mix creates a space to drift, reflect, and immerse in sound.

After belonging to the Move and Skyzoo collectives in the mid-90s, in 2000 he became part of the team of residents of Le Club and the organization of the Observatori Festival. In 2010 he starts Black Label, a monthly party at Miniclub, where for 5 years he made known his more House side. After this, it is worth mentioning his residence in Jerusalem Club, Caravaca (Proper Club) and the organization and residence of the Taiga parties in Madrid, where he bet on contemporary techno. At the moment he is still interested in the most current musical currents of electronic music, from ambient to techno, through electro, halftime and D&B. Always betting on vinyl as a format and deep productions that keep the dub as a common denominator.

"For Cenote I composed a live environment that is a synthesis of sound spaces I've travelled through and recorded over the last few years. Born of rhythm, my music is also made up of ethereal, sometimes generative, sound spaces. The Chill Hour - New Age Vol. 14

This is the blue "Mixtape" album, with original and varied music I created based on the numerous styles and artists I loved and enjoyed all my life (Especially in the 90s). This is a mix between trip hop, downtempo, beautiful melodies and textures, extraordinary voices. 
I wanted that mixtape feeling with several artists, all the music you love on only one support.

The blue mixtape is the smoother of the two, the end of the day enjoyable music. From alternative UK music roots to singers with an unbelievable voice, with some ambient and melodic DnB... 

And if you can find my red mixtape, it's the one with all the energy!

This is by far the pair of albums I'm the most proud of, mostly because I could mix so many genres and it was a true challenge that considerably improved my workflow. But the most important is: I've been extremely happy to enjoy all my youth again.

And yes, the actual mixtape might become true, I still have an audio tape recorder and a walkman...
