The project is an ambient performance based on modular synthesizers and rhythmic foundations created with an MPC. The origin of the project came from the exploration and listening to sounds throughout the winter of 2023-2024 in his studio in Malta.

The idea was to use the studio’s machines, keyboards, and modular systems, listening to random sounds coming directly from them. The sounds that resonated with us the most were selected to shape what would become the final live performance.

Perpendicular is a self managed and private festival held somewhere in the woods of central Spain.

at dawn on Sunday, Alfonso treated us to 4 hours of music, mingling dub techno and minimal, all slowed down and jammed on vinyl.

"When I arrived at the stage, the sun hadn't risen yet. Mine was the first performance on @klapenunsen stage, and the music from the other stage was still playing in the background. It was a cold morning, and I thought there wouldn't be many people at the beginning, but It was a pleasant surprise when, after the main stage last performance ended, a large crowd gathered and filled the stage even before my music started. 

I performed a minimal dubby techno set, playing both current tracks and classics of the genre. Although I didn’t feel entirely comfortable in the beginning of the set, when I saw people dancing with smiles on their faces, it all made sense. It was a very special moment, and later, when the set ended, it was incredible to have people coming up to talk to me, excited about the performance. It was beautiful preparing a set like this and seeing how the crowd responded to the vibe while the sun rose in that wonderful landscape."

We are so happy to kick our Podcast Series back into gear with a long anticipated recording from the UK-based duo Plantera called 'Cosmozoa' ~ based on theories of intergalactic spores transferring life to other planets 🌱

I met Lewis and Mason last year at the intimate Sonic Rites gathering, nestled in the wilds of the beautiful Welsh countryside. Smitten by their soothing afternoon set, I knew I needed to approach them and ask if they’d be keen to record a mix for the series ~ and they said yes 💍

So here it is, a magical musical offering born out of synergy between two close friends sharing deep understanding of and passion for music that touches the soul and soothes the mind. And what better time to dial
in this hour and a half journey than after the long weekend of Bank holiday frolics. Sit back, close your eyes and let it take you on a comic ride through soft edged ambient and downtempo psychedelia 💫

The guys also shared a little message for us too to accompany the mix: “Join us on this journey of cosmozoa; ejected into the ether from unknown coordinates, floating aimlessly through primordial dust until being grasped into the orbit of Plantera - gliding through the atmospheric haze before breaking out into blissful serenity, absorbing the sights and sounds of this unfamiliar world while sailing on it's winds"

Contributing our latest episode is London’s ANNX, a regular figure within the city’s cutting-edge undercurrent whose many contributions include co-curation of the Whomp, Perspectives, and once-shrouded Magick events, and a residency at the beloved Above Below festival. Anna’s tireless dedication to the scene goes hand-in-hand with her unmistakable talent behind the decks, as evidenced by an impressive repertoire of mixes and set recordings, and which I was fortunate enough to witness first-hand last summer in the Chilterns. Here Anna demonstrates her well-honed craft over the course of two meticulously plotted hours, diving seamlessly into manifold forms of deep, heavy psychedelia before emerging in a wave of euphoric bliss. As we keep navigating the musical constellation of The Continuum, we finally get to explore the sounds of an artist that we love and respect. Whether through co-founding Delayed or his “Sundays are for…” series… you should already know who we are talking about. We welcome Hue to our channel! 

Zach is a fellow music lover or maybe should I say obsessed. One of those that would and does cross the ocean to join events and discover new sounds. We met at Parallel last year, and I finally got to see him play (twice) last month. “Sundays are for…” is a true classic when it comes to ambient and soothing sounds, and many of you might have thought that this is what Hue is about… but let me tell you something, Fridays are for Hue too! 

The magic happened during the HOC x Delayed event at Laut last month. Hue on the closing slot, and the rest is history. We couldn’t be happier to host this recording, a masterclass from Hue on high energy selection, with an eclectic and diverse set. Walking the line between brainy and cheeky fun. One that left us with a smile in our face (and wishing the event went on for a couple hours more). 

Tune in for a slice of what the Delayed crew brought to Barcelona on that night, with Hue in complete control!
