Happy new year and welcome to 2024! Bright Patterns welcomes Garçon from Switzerland for this new chapter of the show. He’s a resident at Elysia in Basel and co-runs Amenthia Recordings with Agonis. More often than not, we have the pleasure of hearing his deep cerebral explorations of rhythm, building sets and mixes with thoughtful intention for the dance floor. While I and many others enjoy these recordings again and again, he presents a softer side here that’s equally as brilliant. “I wanted to play music i'd like to listen to in the morning or stay in bed to” he added. T.A.M.22 aka Davy Vandegaer is a Berlin-based DJ, producer, and label boss of Futurepast. T.A.M.22 delivers elegant and powerful vinyl-only set, an emblem of the rare musical gems he unearths. His signature way of blending records brings a very unique flow to his performances. With 20 years of DJing experience across Brussels, London, and Berlin, his versatility shines whether in super clubs or more intimate spaces. T.A.M.22 maintains a strong connection to the original practice of DJing. His ability to engage with crowds across different venues, combined with his musical openness, makes each set a distinctive experience. For this occasion, Davy shared with us the recording of his ambient DJ set performed at Ambient Tide, Brussels on 18.10.24.

We are so excited to welcome Melbourne- based dj, radio host, curator and label head @pjenne to our mix series. 

Pjenne is at the forefront of the Aussie underground scene, a true visionary! Her sound takes many forms and genres but she crafted a unique style that is very much of her own. If you haven’t already listened to her beautifully curated radio show/mix series Passing Notes we highly recommend.  

 “This mix is a live recording of (most of) my set at @terra-obscura-london in London in April last year. I played from 12-2am after Slowfoam and before Oma Totem Live - a time in the night where Ormside projects was transformed from 'soft furnishings' to club. I think the mix represents the music I played a lot across my tour last year (and probably won't stop playing), with an additional emotional sprinkle that was inspired by the work of @avsluta and @aliciasteanson. <3”

We are so happy to kick our Podcast Series back into gear with a long anticipated recording from the UK-based duo Plantera called 'Cosmozoa' ~ based on theories of intergalactic spores transferring life to other planets 🌱

I met Lewis and Mason last year at the intimate Sonic Rites gathering, nestled in the wilds of the beautiful Welsh countryside. Smitten by their soothing afternoon set, I knew I needed to approach them and ask if they’d be keen to record a mix for the series ~ and they said yes 💍

So here it is, a magical musical offering born out of synergy between two close friends sharing deep understanding of and passion for music that touches the soul and soothes the mind. And what better time to dial
in this hour and a half journey than after the long weekend of Bank holiday frolics. Sit back, close your eyes and let it take you on a comic ride through soft edged ambient and downtempo psychedelia 💫

The guys also shared a little message for us too to accompany the mix: “Join us on this journey of cosmozoa; ejected into the ether from unknown coordinates, floating aimlessly through primordial dust until being grasped into the orbit of Plantera - gliding through the atmospheric haze before breaking out into blissful serenity, absorbing the sights and sounds of this unfamiliar world while sailing on it's winds"
