"This set was built around low BPM music, including some ambient techno gems from the ’90s. I played many tracks at their original speed, around 105 BPM, but slowed others down considerably. I don’t know what it is about this pitch range, but I absolutely love it. I think it’s a kind of techno with a special pedigree—almost magical. Maybe it’s because there isn’t a huge amount of it out there, and it’s hard to find, but what does exist is simply incredible.

That’s why I really enjoy creating a dense atmosphere, with wide, spacious basslines or trance-infused acid touches, sometimes drifting toward full-on trance or dub techno. While the session didn’t turn out perfect, in terms of selection, it’s one of my favorites.

That’s why it was such a pleasure to play it for all my friends at Temple, whom I admire so much. ♥️"

A passionate music lover and record collector for over half his life, Joan Gila is the curator of HOC Radio and the label known as red edge with releases by ABSIS and Bastien. Alongside Javi and his friend Jordi, with whom he runs the Binomi project, he co-hosts MostRadio from Mostra Festival.

Endurance (@joshua-stefane) is the ambient project of Canadian-born Joshua Stefane. Using modular synthesizers, field recordings, and cassette tapes, Endurance’s sound has become increasing minimal and tonally-focused over the years, employing a minimum of elements to create a maximum of expressiveness. In addition to releasing from labels such as Constellation Tatsu and Mystery Circles, Endurance also curates the Japan-based tape label Muzan Editions (@muzaneditions). As a live performer, he has appeared at numerous high-profile events such as Kyoto’s Star Festival, Extremely Cold Music Festival, Moment, and Rural, with an increasing emphasis on bringing deep ambient soundscapes to techno music parties.

As we keep navigating the musical constellation of The Continuum, we finally get to explore the sounds of an artist that we love and respect. Whether through co-founding Delayed or his “Sundays are for…” series… you should already know who we are talking about. We welcome Hue to our channel! 

Zach is a fellow music lover or maybe should I say obsessed. One of those that would and does cross the ocean to join events and discover new sounds. We met at Parallel last year, and I finally got to see him play (twice) last month. “Sundays are for…” is a true classic when it comes to ambient and soothing sounds, and many of you might have thought that this is what Hue is about… but let me tell you something, Fridays are for Hue too! 

The magic happened during the HOC x Delayed event at Laut last month. Hue on the closing slot, and the rest is history. We couldn’t be happier to host this recording, a masterclass from Hue on high energy selection, with an eclectic and diverse set. Walking the line between brainy and cheeky fun. One that left us with a smile in our face (and wishing the event went on for a couple hours more). 

Tune in for a slice of what the Delayed crew brought to Barcelona on that night, with Hue in complete control!

"The maestro takes his seat, glasses on, guiding the light across the hidden corners of his frequency library. Perfectly woven layers drift and evolve — minimal, restrained, dark in tone, brilliant in execution. In the cabin, every mind floats, someone slips in a field recording, blurring the edges between inside and out. The light gently rises, and as everything fades, the birds come knocking at the door."


Madrid-based DJ and producer Alfonso Pomeda, aka F-on (@f-ondj), is renowned for his experimental sound, blending dub, ambient, and experimental music. Founder of the Alpenglühen project and co-owner of Antimatter, he and his team run the club and festival Espacio Perpendicular, curate Barcelona's Mostra Festival and Les Chaos Ambiants, and perform at top global venues like Paral·lel, Vurt, Laut or Gare. His vinyl DJ sets take listeners on a rhythmic, dreamlike journey.

Orb Podcast 096: Son Of Chi

August 2025 . The residency has just finished, heading home soon to start work on developing a couple of long format works from all the sound captures. 
These are the 3rd batch of 3 short sketches using field recordings captured around Montegiovi, Tuscany. With these little works I am experimenting freely with what can be produced from each days sounds - manipulating them and stitching them back together with the aim of producing a long format work at the end of the residency. I have done maybe 20 or so  since the beginning of August. The idea is to have them done by the end of the day (or night) then move on to something fresh the next day.
I am truly thankful for this opportunity that has been provided for me by the Salamanca Arts Centre in Tasmania and Cultivate Projects/La Baldi residency in Italy and The USA.
And of course the wonderful people of Montegiovi !
