The sound of the album is influenced by late 90’s and early 00’s techno contrasted with an avant-garde approach to recording and sound design. Throughout the album Umwelt lays down beautiful grooves and his space techno melodies in uncompromising fashion, blended with classic synthwork and run through his famous analog outboard chains. Monnom Black presents” Legacy”, an introspective journey through the illustrious career of the legendary German electronic artist, Thomas P. Heckmann. This momentous release marks the first time Heckmann curates a comprehensive compilation, delving into all his various aliases and timeless tracks, including Knarz, AGE, Heckmann, Skydiver, Spectral Emotions, Purple Plejade, and the infamous DRAX, which commemorates its 30th anniversary this year.

"Legacy" encompasses a total of 23 tracks, 17 slated across three slabs of vinyl with an additonal six digital bonuses, featuring the cream of Heckmann's underground hits, such as "Himmel Und Hoelle," "Tanzmaschine," "Teufelswerk," and "EBM1," alongside lesser-known gems like "Chiswick Days" and "Parnophelia."

Throughout his career, Heckmann has showcased his prowess across multiple shades of electronic genres. However, it is his contributions to Industrial, EBM-Techno, Acid, and Experimental that have propelled him to notoriety. In 1994, Heckmann's acid-infused masterpiece, "Amphetamine" as DRAX LTD. II, launched him into the global spotlight as a force to be reckoned with.

Having released his latest studio album, "Body Music," in 2018 on Monnom Black, Heckmann subsequently featured on The World of Monnom Black compilations. Now, he returns to celebrate his groundbreaking contributions to electronic music and enduring Legacy with this special release.

Born and raised in the Techno capital of Berlin, Opal merges experimental and forward stepping electronic music with an unique touch. His latest "Dominator" EP coming via Voxnox is no exception.

Following his industrial steps from his last productions, the opener and title track "The Dominator" brings raw, yet pushing heat for your infamous dancing pleasure by combining a shouting vocal rip with an ever growing groove - eventually turning things to a dominating level. Netherlands native Remco Beekwilder delivers the A-side remix by not only keeping this vibe, but with even extending it with his own synthesiser symbiosis in order to move things to a deeper level.

"New World Order" represents the EP's flip side, focusing on the good old rave experiences we all remember very well. An ever marching kick teams up with mysterious patterns and evolving drums to blurry your mind the right way. Inhalt Der Nacht remixing this track can only mean an ecstasy of emotions and power, perfectly rounding off this release.
