“ACID DESERT is the second chapter of the record
series produced by KAKOFONICO for the
Milan label INTERSEZIONI Rec.

The unique sound setting created by the evocative power of music will leave you feeling as if you were a part of an ancient ritual somewhere within a magical desert.

The sounds of the Turkish musical tradition are
mixed with tight rhythmic patterns and electronic
elements, giving a dance-floor imprint to
each tracks, where past and modern merge to create a perfect harmony.

What separates this EP from the rest is the outstanding voice of Beyza Cakir, as well as the percussion work of Lorenzo d'Erasmo, who played a decisive role in the creation of the album.

In addition to three original tracks, the EP also features a house-influenced Remix by the Italian duo "Underspreche" well known for their one of a kind remix!!

INTRZ005 - KAKOFONICO "ACID DESERT" EP

LOLA is the first cd released by the percussion duo formed by
Gabriele Lattuada and Lorenzo D’Erasmo. The cd title and the name
of the duo are the same, in order to highlight the mutual affinities.
The research on the sound materializes in the choice of the
instrumental setup: a table with little percussions, objects and a
variety of frame drums. Percussions, timber and sound point out sonic
environments drawing from classical experience and shared research
on less conventional materials.

The tracks evoke a sonic body that can be listened in its continuity,
or focusing on single sound events showing themselves in the overall
picture. The acoustic perception recalls the visual one, reminding
each time the image of an iridescent prism. In fact the musicians
want also to enlighten the sensorial suggestion that might derive
from the listening of the work. It’s no coincidence that the cd is
furnished by a series of fine linocut prints representing the visual
translation of the cd sonic development.

Lola Interpretations is a remixes collection of the latest acoustic work released by Intersezioni, Lola Percussion.
Seven artists from the Italian techno / tribal / downtempo scene have been involved, using samples obtained from the original Lola's recordings.
The result is a free recompositions compilation of the original edits, characterised by a strong connection between acoustic and electronic sounds and thought to be perfect even for the dance floor.

The sounds of the Turkish musical tradition are
mixed with tight rhythmic patterns and electronic
elements, giving a definitely dance-floor imprint to
each tracks, where past and modernity merge to
create a perfect harmony.
But the original and authentic vibe of this
EP are the beautiful voice of the Turkish singer
Beyza Cakir and the percussions of Lorenzo
d'Erasmo, who played a decisive role in the
creation of the album.

Intersezioni sprang in 2015 inside the electronic music classe 129 of the G. Verdi  Conservatoire of Milan. This reality gathers together a group of dj, I.T.s, musicians and performers. Exploring the different contemporary musical realities,including that of the club culture, the  rave scene and also the contemporary music scene, the will to learn from each of them rose. This lead to enhance every single “intersection” that daily occurs among these fascinating realities. Always maintaining a qualitative purpose and a critical eye.
