Since its arrival sunrise celebrates transcultural songs and vibes from all over the world and mix it with Downtempo, Exotica, Electronica and Jazz. Pale Penguin’s musical sunrise is rich in percussions and organic sounds, shamanic grooves, ethnic elements and complex instrumentation to create an extraordinary psychedelic kaleidoscope of gentle sounds. “Sunrise mix” welcomes you to a world full of wonders, where freedom and individuality is celebrated in an hedonistic and mysteriously exotic climate.

About this compilation :
We are in a new era, a time that many say has come to connect with the sacred feminine energy and sow the seed of healing to the wounded masculine energies. It is time to reconnect with the mother energy and ancestral wisdom, leave our fears behind and wake up all together.
In "Cantos a la Madre" (Chants to the Mother) each artist presents a vision of the concept of "mother" in their own "chant", forming a multilingual compilation that investigates the development of a new electronic music in harmony with the lyrical tradition of different cultures. It includes songs in native languages of South America such as Quechua and more unusual musical experiments in German, Ukrainian, Hebrew, as well as many in Spanish, English and more.

With a large femenine presence plus the invitation to work in a mixed way between women and men, the album is an attempt to take electronic music one step further, rescuing the use of the human voice and, as well, reflecting on this broad and wonderful concept of ¨the mother¨, a concept that is transversal to all living beings on this planet.

All donations on bandcamp will go directly to the artists, heavily affected by the closure of all live shows for a long time. We invite the public to listen and collaborate with this project with the intention that any help, whether in donations or simply by sharing this album (that’s free!), is in itself a little but important seed for the rebirth of this art and part of its community.

We hope you enjoy this release with a flavor of folktronica, downtempo, house and experimental, created with endless love as a musical jewel to delight not only the ears, but also the heart and soul.

Born in the dark streets of Cairo, grown to the unforgettable forests of Santa Esmeralda, spending its teen years in Bombay and Tangier markets, mature into the deep spacey Jungle of Ghana we proudly present you a new label from the land of the pyramids: SHANGO RECORDS invites you to an unheard world music psychedelic trip: like through a colorful kaleidoscope we will melt down Indian and Pakistani Vibes, Arab-Tek and Oriental groovy vibes, Afro-Beat rhythms n' pieces, Cumbia Tropicana flavors and cosmic Ghetto-Latin vibes into forbidden sounds of frenzied electronic dancefloor rituals. In a village on the southern side of the Crete, by the Libyan Sea, lived an old woman with her beautiful daughter. Her name was Moon. She had blue eyes that shined like two unblemished turquoise gems; her long eyelashes curved upward. Her eyebrows hung like quarter moons when she opened her eyes. She had silky white skin like the color of snow and breathtakingly long black hair that hung over her slender shoulders. Everybody loved Moon and Moon loved life. She woke up at dawn, made tea for her mother, and prayed on the terrace, facing the sea and the beautiful calm waters. Moon had a beautiful melodic voice and she loved to sing. After her morning prayer, she sat on the terrace, facing the rising sun, as it slowly peeked out from behind the mountain, spreading its rays over the valley below, and then, second by second, slowly spread a shaft of light over the sea. She loved to gaze at the unfolding of a new day from her terrace. She praised the God and sang a harmonious tune, first in a soft voice, repeating the words, “Praise to God who created the heaven and earth.” Then as the beam of light widened over the valley, she cried and her tears washed the calm of the morning breeze. Jeronimo Karpouzakis is the keeper of golden jewel. This is his third offering for Shango Records. These four tracks can awake the spirits and left you in tears. Dio S, Luett Matten, Bliz Nochi, Salguero and El Mago are the true spirits of our strange, mysterious and sweet life!

It's nearly dawn when I wake up. I draw the curtain back and take a look. It must have just stopped raining, since everything is still wet and drippy. Clouds to the east are sharply etched against the sky, each one framed by light. The sky looks ominous one minute, inviting the next. It all depends on the angle. The bus plows down the highway at a set speed, the tires humming along, never getting any louder or softer. Same with the engine, its monotonous sound like a mortar smoothly grinding down time and the consciousness of the people on board. The other passengers are all sunk back in their seats, asleep, their curtains drawn tight. The driver and I are the only ones awake. We're being carried, efficiently and numbly, toward our destination. Feeling thirsty, I take a bottle of mineral water from the pocket of my backpack and drink some of the lukewarm water. From the same pocket I pull out a box of soda crackers and munch a few, enjoying that familiar dry taste. According to my watch it's 4:32. I check the date and day of the week, just to be on the safe side. Thirteen hours since I left home. Time hasn't leaped ahead more than it should or done an unexpected about-face. It's still my birthday, still the first day of my brand-new life. I shut my eyes, open them again, again checking the time and date on my watch. Then I switch on the reading light, take out a paperback book, and start reading. 
After leaving behind the Somalian pirates we’re cruising the sunny waters of the Indian Ocean. This is the new Shango Records compilation entitled “A Cup Of Tea In The Land Of Morning Calm”.
