Jeopardy is a track born from roots of Tokyo’s underground, as the @dj-prettybwoy co-produced track sees both producers bounce glitchy melancholia off the empty club walls. 

Adolescent electronics, nostalgia pulses. Root Layers sees @primula-kyun weave a kaleidoscopic thread between the purity of youth and the roots of reality.

What we can appreciate in this mix by the artist is a meticulous selection and curadury. With a wide spectrum of influences that takes from genres such as Avant Garde, Drone, Industrial Techno, IDM and Classical. It is nothing more than an attempt at seduction and at the same time a sound reflection for the listener. We are in the presence of an exercise of artistic freedom that breaks free from ties and taboos to channel its discourse.


This mix is ​​basically one more story in the form of a journey, a color palette that yearns to be the guiding vehicle to launch the artist's cultural message to future generations.

fmvee joins Queeste with who do u love?, an EP of fractious songs recorded over a tumultuous four-month period in Los Angeles. Having debuted in 2018 with a set of club contortions touching on jungle and 2-step, the US artist returns with a work of intense self-reflection. Lived experiences are transmuted into an amorphous bricolage of pummelling kicks, synthetic textures, and diaristic details, what they describe as an act of “remembrance.”

Working and living in LA, the “grind” alongside “aspirational partying,” and the confrontation of depression during an intense relationship, informs the EP on levels both sonic and thematic. The slippery rhythm and melodic stabs of ‘the way you see yourself’ embodies a state of flux, also recalling the early experiments of the LA beat scene. Distant jazz drumming fills its peaceful coda before ‘everythingUneverKnewUwanted’ introduces an echo lifted directly from the artist’s life: a trickling courtyard fountain. This first phase of the release finds resolution with ‘thewayothersseeyou,’ a conceptual mirror to its start, and one which carries a notable shift in tone; gleaming percussion has given way to ominous synths.

Despite the EP’s personal nature, collaboration is crucial. ‘Seed Perfuming (LoLo v665)’ is an fmvee original transformed into a cascading breakbeat by New York producer and engineer Loric Sih AKA LoLo, an ecstatic yet familiar form nestled amidst otherwise bruising encounters. ‘sobbing’ follows, a digital-age ballad of original lyrics exploring dependency: emotional, physical, and otherwise. It’s a poignant conclusion to an appropriately hallucinogenic collection, an intoxicating chemistry of love and loneliness conjured through a fine balance of bass, percussion, discord, and harmony.

On behalf of fmvee, a percentage of all profits will be donated to Baltimore Harm Reduction Coalition, a community-based organisation that mobilises community members for the health, dignity, and safety of people targeted by the war on drugs and anti sex-worker policies.

2020, AKA The Year of Delivery. Waimai. Food delivery. Virus delivery. Vaccines. And now, at the end of 2020, Love Bang has something to deliver too. 

We’ve spent the last ten years swimming in the cartoon dimension and creating chaos. Parties are in our blood, but they only last one night. Music lasts as long as plastic delivery containers. Time on earth is short, so we’re launching a label to start releasing music. 

Our first release, "Delivery", is a compilation of footwork, bass, club trax, and delivery anthems made in 2020 by friends we’ve met during the Love Bang adventure: Ceezy, Gouachi, Graphic Violence, Heatwolves, MMQ, Swimful, Vorbi, and Tsui Honagi, a.k.a. Dirty K, who mastered the whole project. We've traveled together through airports and train stations during pandemic times as well as “normal” times. We've played shows and emerged from clubs into daylight together. We've grown together. May this be the first of many Love Bang releases!
