Born and raised in the south of France, Nahim Bendjilali or Nems-B has well over 20 years of experience in the electronic music scene. Whether it's DJing, music production, podcast curation or event promotion – he has seen the dance scene all around. With performances at @parallelfestival, @vurtkr, @tresorberlin, Gare Porto and others up his sleeve, Nems-B also has released music on @Oslated, Geometrika FM, and @on-board-music, to count a few.

Luigi’s music has so far been released on the established label Dynamic Reflection as well as setting a regular cooperation with the very promising and mysterious techno label Hypnus Recordsfrom Sweden, where he found a platform that inspired him to develop his style. Melting the tribal and hypnotic elements of techno with the atmospheric and emotional side of ambient music he is making his own path in the world of electronics. Recently this has gotten him in contact with Dino Sabatini which led to the opportunity to join Outis Music that has released well known artists such as MODERN HEADS (Official page), Brando Lupi, Donato Dozzy among others"

Welcome to the 125th chapter of the Deep Electronics Podcast.
 This weeks chapter is again a very special one dedicated to one of the most mysterious labels in the ( dub) techno scene: Knowone.

Grad_U has mixed this set very carefully to bring the best tracks of some of the unknown artists that are released on Knowone. Sit back or dance on this special 90 minutes mix!! 

Bio:

The Big Bang happened in 2005 when Aleksandr, a Vilnius DJ and producer who had already been pouring some quality drum’n’bass for some 5 years from his home studio, accidentally heard Prospect II by Fluxion. It definitely wasn’t the first time he heard the track but, at the right time and the right place, or, more accurately, the right depth, it pushed Aleksandr to aim for a new vibe and new sound. For a year the fresh and dubby vibe was nameless, but as soon as the deal was done for the first release, the gradient of function U that Aleksandr studied at the moment gently became grad_u. The gradient actually demonstrates the direction of increase of the function, so, consistently, it also paved the path of grad_u’s musical journey. 
But enough about maths. The sound of grad_u levitates in the golden middle between your childhood’s forest and your everyday asphalt jungle. The purity of these soundscapes is usually predetermined by recording the tracks on tape, and inside these tapes the producer encrypts both his family, everyday life, philosophical thoughts, space explorations, and some wild fantasies of how it all would sound live through a proper sound system.
Located in his airplane-like studio, grad_u soon came to realize there is a certain community growing around him. In 2009, together with fellow echo-oriented producers he launched Dumblys, a netlabel dedicated to Lithuanian electronic music. A tangible piece of music was something he always longed for, and, after a few successful on Knowone, grad_u was determined to launch a vinyl-only label himself. That’s how Redscale was born, and, in 3 years since the its first release in 2012, the catalogue has already reached the number RDSCL07. All of the tracks released on Redscale are produced by grad_u but, luckily enough for his fans, the producer also finds time to collaborate with fellow imprints, Echocord from Denmark being the latest (as of 2015) example of the dubby and timeless friendship. 
In the summertime, Grad_u can be heard in selected festivals in Lithuania and around. If you’re very lucky you can also catch him in a nightclub, playing a very special live set. As the gradient demonstrating the direction of grad_u is smoothly stable, more and more bookings that require longer journeys from the producer’s hometown Vilnius can be expected in the near future.

MTRL (Material) is an art project by Audio Engineer and Sounddesigner Lukas Weinlein, who is always been fascinated with soundscapes to which he could relate to emotionally. 
Playing various instruments for years, he started experimenting with different sounds at a young age, tapping into many different styles of music. 
This insightful journey shaped his current understanding of music and ultimately led him to the endless possibilities of hypnotic electronic music, inspired by the infinite cosmos and organic voices of nature. Having bonded with a multitude of great artists helped to refine his style and created a sphere of inspiration around him. 
His deep, experimental - and sometimes dark sounds- resonate with the audience and invites them on a trip to remember. 
The name for this specific art project was chosen because the definition of the word material, the matter from which a thing is or can be made, fits the purpose of the project very good. 
So the aim of MTRL is to create an audiovisual experience from existing or non-existing matter for open-minded brains.

MTRL (Material) 은 항상 그가 정서적으로 교감할 수 있는 사운드스케이프에 매력을 느끼는 오디오 엔지니어이자 사운드 디자이너인 Lukas Weinlein 의 프로젝트이다.
여러 다양한 악기를 수 년간 연주하며, 그는 젊은 시절 색다른 사운드들을 실험하기 시작했다.
이 통찰력 있는 여정은 음악에 대한 그의 이해도를 형성했고, 종국엔 자연의 무한한 코스모스와 목소리들에 영감을 받아 최면적인 전자음악의 무한한 가능성을 이끌어냈다. 여러 훌륭한 예술가들과 유대감을 갖게 된 것은, 그의 스타일을 다듬는 데 도움이 되었고 그는 이것을 중심으로 고유한 영역을 만들어냈다. 
그의 깊고 실험적이고 때로는 어두운 소리는 관객들에게 반향을 불러일으키고 그들을 기억을 위한 여행에 초대한다. 
이 예술 프로젝트의 명칭은 용어 Material (재료) 의 정의, ‘어떤 것이 만들어지거나 만들어질 수 있는 질료’ 라는 뜻이 프로젝트의 목적에 매우 잘 맞기 때문에 선택되었다. 
결국 MTRL 의 목적은 개방적인 사유를 위해 현존하거나 존재하지 않는 물질로부터 시청각적 경험을 창조하는 것이다.
