Copenhagen local dj, Jinsu (@jinsunij) for the newest Animix. I met Jinsu last year in Copenhagen when we played the same night at Den Anden Side, a @f_e_l_t night hosted by our mutual friend @perkopair. 

After meeting (and being told by mutual friend's about his skills), I dug into Jinsu's beautifully diverse taste & impeccably on-point dj'ing skills. An avid collector with a broad yet perfectly aligned taste for the Animix series - I'm super happy to share this one with everyone, filled with eclectic groove, depth and flow - in perfect Animalia fashion :)

As we enter the midsummer-solstice season, I wanted to share this recording from a glorious sunny morning last year, now archived on Deep Mind Music ☀️

This is the set I played 8-10AM on Sunday at @comebyefestival in Wales for @umbilicalchords, in their cosy fuchsia~draped ambient dome.

Playing ambient in the early hours of a festival is always really special for me, as everyone’s minds are open and unwound, the gentle caress of nature is all around, and it feels the best backdrop for swirling into imaginal worlds 🌿

Hope you enjoy this wistful meander through tall breezy grasses, golden sunshine, and drifting clouds ~ a mix for daydreaming, nature-wandering, tea-drinking, sunbathing 🧡🌞🌾

Originally based in the Seattle area and now living in Berlin, he has been sharing his salient sound through productions and performances for years. His mixes point to a diverse yet distinct framework in which modernity and the ancient fuse in a communal dance to feel what must be felt. This mix is no exception.

His recent record, "2929", saw him working with artists such as Kalawila and Dorisburg and was released to international acclaim. Here he has used a collection of tracks that have had profound personal meaning to him since Unrush started, and have carried him through numerous blistering winters. Originally based in the Seattle area and now living in Berlin, Josef Gaard has been sharing his salient sound through productions and performances for years. His penchant for both ambient music and dance-floor oriented styles has landed him at some of the best venues across Europe. Compositionally, his focus is on recontextualizing samples, field recordings, and self-made instruments into new sonic configurations. As a DJ he works to accomplish a similar feat, constructing new pieces out of existing material.
