Barcelona-based record label Adepta unveil ‘Sleek Vibra’, a dystopian missive from Rome-based producer Alessandro Gramaccioni, operating under the cryptonym AFM...Our pick, ‘Kamui Effect’, opens with a scrambled polyphony of laser-guided distress signals and shortwave interference, as if intercepted from a rogue satellite in psychic orbit. What follows is a hyperventilated stutter of metallic percussions and spasmodic low-end sequences, sound architecture for dancefloors warped by fever dreams. A harp flickers in and out like a ghost in the circuitry, while distant male voices echo through steel ducts. Nervous and high-functioning, it feels like an artefact from a club night that never ended, or perhaps never began. Grainy, cerebral, and gloriously unstable, this one’s tailor-made for heads seeking sanctuary at the edges.

Since its inception, Estonian imprint Liitheli has stood as a magnet for Baltic-bound adventurers of sound, channeling a distinctly off-centre sensibility. Their latest transmission comes from Tallinn-based polymath Rando Arand, whose latest opus ‘Child of the Internet’ feels like a conceptual USB stick plugged into the subconscious of Gen Z’s neural hard drive...Our spotlight turns to ‘Fiber-Optic Cable’, one of the album’s quietly euphoric outliers, a breakbeat meditation slathered in hi-res shimmer and digitised longing. Here, Arand spins a thread between IDM ambient kinetics and post-Myspace bedroom aesthetics. Snare ghosts and pixelated pads swim through a warm synthetic haze, while melodies glitch and refract like reflections in a cracked smartphone screen. It’s a track that captures the flickering intimacy of being online at 3AM, with no one else awake but your browser history and the hum of the router.

Soreab continues his rapid ascent through the underground with Ziran, a singular, undeniably seminal collection of richly atmospheric, endlessly swirling, thunderous bass and techno compositions that explode through the lithosphere like a fire fountain and find their home on Of Paradise.

Comprising four original tracks, including collaborations with Montréal-based artist SIM and Serbian producer Feloneezy, Ziran sees the London-based artist elevate his craft, drawing on his refined approach to sound design and sonic clarity to deliver a spacious, hypnotic, and fully immersive label debut, one that presents an altered sense of human nature that cannot be reached by words.

CCL launches their subglow label with Rebuild, an EP from Bristol club provocateur @georg-i, featuring remixes from @Metrist and the elusive B. McQueen.

Rebuild is influenced by math rock's feverish and cataclysmic energy, eschewing conventional club BPMs in favour of dizzying tempo trickery and polymetric wizardry. “Torn In Two” gets off to a slow, chugging start, with raucous synths riffing over emphatic drums, but soon swirls into a juddering, pointillistic frenzy. “Bridging The Gap” is a cathartic shout, an acidic crescendo whose triplet meter offers tempo-transitioning opportunities for adventurous DJs who don’t mind a bit of maths. “Communication” gallops along cathartically through ricocheting synths and drums, unfolding into a thrilling breakdown. On remix duties, B. McQueen re-imagines “Torn In Two” as a sultry, dubbed-out roller, charting groove across a heady plain, while Metrist’s ambitious rework of “Communication” amps up the tension and primes it for a peak-time dancefloor sometime in the next millennium.
