Originally born in an unexpected moment of attraction, Anni Yu’s lyrics and Elias Doré’s gentle soundscape portrayed longing in soft tones. Solatic - known for his melodic, dreamy tracks that balance playfulness with depth, and for weaving vocals and instrumentation into light‑filled electronic atmospheres reimagines the piece with luminous synths, subtle harmonic swells, and a rhythm that pulses like a heartbeat under moonlit serenity. The next release from the vaults of Be With comes from the shadowy vocalist Anna (real name Anna O’Malley), who only released two singles and very little is known about her even today. Systems Breaking Down, Originally released on RCA in 1982, is a dark, heart-wrenching disco cut which according to the press release “hard to imagine a more apposite track to soundtrack the dark days we currently occupy”.

Oluko Imo was a Trinidadian born multi-instrumentalist, founder of the legendary spiritual afro jazz groups Mansa Musa and the Black Truth Rhythm Band. He moved to New York City in the 80s and divided his time between teaching music there and touring Africa with Fela Kuti as both his manager and part of the band. 

Praise Jah is Imo’s crowning achievement. An elevated electronic mantra that perfectly fuses synthy soca disco with his spiritual afro-Trinidadian leanings. It’s a timeless piece of music that sounds as visionary today as it did when it emerged from the aether back in 1979.

'Too Many Voices'  our new ep from Glasgow affiliate Dam-Ru, draws on themes of Gnosticism, Occultism, Cosmology and Automatism, Dam-Ru displays his attempts at transcendence through sound, and delves deep into the subconscious, to a world within worlds.

He crafts complex yet warm, organic electronic music that flirts with ambient, dub and experimental sounds. The ep explores a far eastern, mystical theme, delivering 4 tracks that wouldn’t feel out of place in an epic film score.

You wish the mighty oracle could whisper the ID of this one into you ear, but they have surrendered to the purple fog of doom here. Oh well, been looking for a spare for years now, here it finally is. Less than 10 people on discogs claim ownership and let me tell you: Original sleeve artwork is a little marvel as well - think of some kind of hand drawn space ship leaving an island. Bit of noise in the quiet zones and some wear to the sleeve, but what choice do we have? Exactly.

The flipside ain't bad, for the new wave heads among you, leaning a little bit into Talking Head's material.
