Allow me to speak my Arab tongue
before they occupy my language as well.
Allow me to speak my mother tongue
before they colonise her memory as well.
I am an Arab woman of color.
and we come in all shades of anger.
All my grandfather ever wanted to do
was wake up at dawn and watch my grandmother kneel and pray
in a village hidden between Jaffa and Haifa
my mother was born under an olive tree
on a soil they say is no longer mine
but I will cross their barriers, their check points
their damn apartheid walls and return to my homeland
I am an Arab woman of colour and we come in all shades of anger.
And did you hear my sister screaming yesterday
as she gave birth at a check point
with Israeli soldiers looking between her legs
for their next demographic threat
called her baby girl “Janeen”.
And did you hear Amni Mona screaming
behind their prison bars as they teargassed her cell
“We’re returning to Palestine!”
I am an Arab woman of colour and we come in all shades of anger.
But you tell me, this womb inside me
will only bring you your next terrorist
beard wearing, gun waving, towelhead, sand nigger
You tell me, I send my children out to die
but those are your copters, your F16′s in our sky
And let’s talk about this terrorism business for a second
Wasn’t it the CIA that killed Allende and Lumumba
and who trained Osama in the first place

3 Nature (Deadbeat's Internal War Dub)

The way he moved was fast and furious, gliding across the room with wild movements and an electric pace. He landed each step expertly in time yet at any given moment looked as if he might recklessly spin beyond control and crash. Some called him a psycho dancer, others believed he was once a ballerina who had lost his way. The music rattled and echoed in the small chamber as he leapt between the walls in time with the persuasive percussion and dazzling drums. This was his moment, it was beautiful in its relentless chaos. 

Iron Curtis is set to release a mini album split across two parts via way of Hudd Trax. The music featured is club built and dancefloor ready, however we chose perhaps one of the most pensive and reflective pieces on the new release to feature. It's elegant and tasteful, subtle and harmonic.

“I’ll have another”, he slurred, leaning like a toppled monument against the stained mahogany. As the bartender handed him the frothing jar of foggy brown fluid, the drinker’s eyes flickered asynchronously. His crotch was soggy, the stench forming an invisible force-field around his lump of a body.

Steve Pepe has a preference for album-length works. He is yet to release a 12” single, instead releasing LPs: one on John Talabot’s Hivern Discs in 2018, the other on Lyon’s Macadam Mambo label in January this year. His second album of 2020 comes on Inside Out records and is called Vivere in Diagonale: “Living Diagonally”. 

As you might expect, the sound is slanted. Its beats stomp with lead-heavy boots and damp-jeans dub echo, always leaning to the leftfield. Our premiere, 'Oltraggiosa Musica', sounds like slapped-bass jazz funk on 33rpm. In reverse. Played by a medieval Italian coven. With most tracks stretching to a seven minute meditation, the intoxicating effects of slow time - conjured to a heavily sedated rhythm - are revealed.

In that spirit, for their fifth release they've brought together some friends and label artists, past, present and future, for their second V/A in the Domownicy Różnoracy series. Eltron's fellow Seltron 400 member SLG is back again for volume 2, and this time he's joined by several other talents from Poland's electronic music scene; jamaszka_FT, Evius, Botanica, and two debuts on the label from We Are Radar co-founder Olivia and Szum boss Charlie.

For the third release by Darkish we propose three retro-futuristic tracks strongly inspired by Tangerine Dream, John Carpenter, 1980s  obscure sci-fi, and TV Series scores like V Visitors and Miami Vice, which had originally been composed during our Berlin years and revised until today, keeping however the original incomplete structure. To counterpoint the mood of the tracks, the syncopated Detroit driven remix of Prelude To The Stars by Dutch legendary producer Orlando Voorn. The release title is inspired by a verse of The Love Song of J. Alfred Prufrock by T.S. Eliot.
