Chaos Magick [Gestalt Records]

If 'This Love' is the rugged, abrasive techno roller then 'Settled' is the Innervisions-esque floater. We've got the premiere of the latter and it's pretty special.

Ominous low-ends rumble while delicate yet deadly riffs twinkle on top and the ferocious claps and snares only add to the pace. It's a refined and accomplished track from the Londoner and has all the makings of one of the summer's biggest smashes. Bravo.

Premiere: Skream 'Settled'

It was about time to premiere something from german ace acid-electro-jakbeat-whatever producer Andreas Gehm on LYO. Andreas is known for his fierce, unapologetic acid style but the Cologne man does have a more mellow side, a smoother side, and that’s what this three tracker is. Of course, smooth Gehm still has some rough edges. “Yellow Flowers” combines thick pads, skittering beats, warming samples and frigid bars in an intoxicating brew. Malice and menace rear their ashen faces for the evil machinations of “Late At Night”, muffled vocals and sharpened snares glinting in the streetlights. Safety arrives in the form of the aptly titled “Less Violence”  our favorite track of the ep premiered here. Rhythms are still rough edged, melodies still have an underhanded element. Premiere: Francesca Lombardo 'Planetary Love'

Hugo Gerani’s Esplore EP advances the producer’s freewheeling and supercasual house sound under this particular alias. It is true ‘club music’ in its constant allusion to social interactions and environs, with all the spice and intrigue of chance encounters and missed connections. The showstopper is ‘She’s Lying (Roe St On the Fone Mix)’, which, true to its name, channels the boisterous and insouciant late night activity its namesake is known for. A perfectly broiled and basted club tune and a regional classic. Elsewhere, the producer exhibits the godshot melody and low-end polish fans are familiar with from 2015 hit ‘Freeze Action (Desire)’. ‘Esplore, Liek Music!’ and its shorter companion are organic and effusive, blinking with sensorial curiosities and vocal suggestions. ‘Take You No Bro’ borrows elements from longform halcyon Scandinavian techno, stark and bright like the desert at dawn, and never losing focus for its almost ten minute run.

International Black’s 6th release comes from critically acclaimed electro supergroup London Modular Alliance. Operating from a refreshingly simple credo of: 3 men, 0 computers, many patch cables - LMA create their music on the fly using soley modular synthesis. 

Acid Lab is slo-mo electro drenched in acid. The lead 303 riff floats in an abyss of dubbed-out dystopian psychedelia.

Ferocactus pilosus is a common species native to the Mexican states of Coahuila, Durango, Nuevo León, San Luis Potosí, Tamaulipas, and Zacatecas. Colloquially known as the Mexican Fire Barrel Cactus, it can be found primarily on rocky limestone hills in semi-desert conditions in a variety of soil types. Ferocactus pilosus is a clumping barrel/column cactus with distinct, thick red spines. It produces yellow and red flowers when in bloom and is regarded as a slow-growing yet hardy specimen for home cultivation.

Our botanists strive to source and produce high-quality specimens to enrich your mind as well as your ears. After many months in the field our team has returned with a diverse selection of sonic seedlings. Following a series of meticulous experiments in our research facility each seedling has been deemed safe for general propagation and cleared for release.

Exhausted Modern is a Prague based DJ and producer and a half of a well-known Endless Illusion label. Having had a recent release on brokntoys, he comes back with a new EP on Rotterdam Electronix.  In his own words, “taken from the EP "Happy Hertz Club Banned" coming on Rotterdam Electronix later this month, the record kicks off with an extended acid injected electro track called ''All Things Are Possible’’. While playing with the term of motivational spirituality, we’re getting put in a contrast with dystopian vibe of the track."
The record is available on Rotterdam Electronix, by the end of December.

Following on from the deranged machine mulch of the Cru Servers we proudly announce the second record on the label to emerge from our native south side of Glasgow. Lo Kindre is the solo project of Irish/Luxembourgish bedroom producer, amateur footballer and award-winning bartender Daniel Magee. Crawling out from the undergrowth at the speed of a snail with dreadlocks this six track EP builds upon his previous venture for Optimo Music and manages to enchant in many of the same ways. Chlorophytum ticks all of the right boxes, sitting somewhere between a budding sci-fi homage, drum machine escapism and a fascination with the motorik styles of West Germany and the wider On-U continuum. Lo Kindre's sound has recently developed by way of countless hours spent twiddling with delay units alongside vintage Italian football commentary and murky casks of Tennents. It culminates here in the following six tracks. The seventh 12th Isle now ecstatically morphs from our galaxy into yours.

Having released 2 EP's on labels such as Infinity Trax and Glove Traxx, DJ Panthr is known for his melodic interplanetary electro vibes and is becoming a household name within the Lo-Fi House community. 'Solar Circles' the second track on the release is an introspective odyssey through the inner depths of our own galaxy with its icy staccato high hats, fluttery reverberated melodics, and breakbeat drum patterns.
