Loop Electronic are proud to present Movement, the sophomore album from New Zealand-born musician and producer Harry Charles. His first release since his return home after several years living in Berlin, Harry is a guitarist and songwriter at his core who has evolved into a producer and live electronic act over the past decade. This body of work is a reflection of that growth, incorporating sounds of downtempo, electronic and organic house alongside live vocals and guitar.

A blend of diverse influences and experiences, the album captures the multifaceted nature of his journey as an artist. With Movement, Harry creates a sonic space that merges his roots with his evolution, showcasing the many influences that have shaped his sound.

Carried by a proper fiery groove without giving up on what makes this record so special, it conjures the elementary battery of Mei Tahat's originals - be it gamelan-friendly bells, rough-patched FX and distorsions, overall punctual dissonance - within Chaix's own well-beaconed universe, rife with his signature blazing synth beams and floor-breaking bass spasms. The climax to a captivating outer space melter.

"I’ve met Griffin aka Francis Inferno out and about quite a few times now and have to say he’s fully good vibes all the way. The other week Lexx sent me a track by him that I’d never checked before on Superconscious that is pretty flipping great and here’s another new one by him. The main mix of Oasis sounds like an old Italian vibe, one of those ones with a breakbeat running underneath, though with the break pushed to the front which works perfectly for these times. Also great is the Erotikk mix of ‘Oasis’ which comes on like a late 80s / early 90s B side secret weapon and ‘Mating Rituals’ which rounds the record off goes all tribal and chant-y before dropping into a messed up little break and out again. It all sounds like he’s having loads of fun but the throw it in the pot attitude works perfectly." - Testpressing
