Wir haben eine neue Ausgabe unseres New In Radios fertig – gestern lief sie bei Radio Blau. Ab heute ist sie auch als Stream zu hören. Mit dabei ein Deep Dive mit einer spannenden Newcomerin aus Leipzig.

Sommerzeit ist Urlaubszeit, deshalb sind wir dieses Mal nicht vollständig und nur zu zweit gewesen. Aber Nils und Jens haben sich wieder durch mehrere sehr gute Releases aus Leipzig durchgehört und einige Hits daraus aufgewählt. Synth ambassadors Birdsnake create their own brand of psychedelic infused downtempo electronica, exploring the line between digital and organic. A free-flowing sensory experience that seamlessly combines acid jazz, psychedelic funk and down tempo grooves, the effect is a blend of dubbed out rhythms and percussive textures that pull audiences into droney realms. Wormbox, the collaborative alias of Break Mode and Cole Baby, names that are all too familiar in BoR world have recent offerings for Paradia Sound, Ransom Note, and Electric Shapes;

MagicPink, another Bed Head on the BoR roster, continues to throw more irons into a fire that refuses to be contained. Also recently featured on the Electric Shapes Unreleased Territory vol. 4

Together, they form a crooked constellation of acid-damaged jams and asymmetrical DJ tools.

Rosie Ama's Human Endeavour label announce a debut label outing from Ambient Babestation Meltdown & Borai.

The production pairing, whose musical partnership has birthed a string of releases on Optimo Music, Me Me Me and Ritual Poison, join forces once again for ‘Why The Tiger And The Monkey Are Sworn Enemies’.

Known for their excursions into scuzzy, cyberpunk and EBM electronics, this three-track EP on our sub-label chronicles the pair’s ventures into chugging grooves, wormhole acid and early 00s tech house à la Playhouse and Rework.

Our GRIDLOCK series of dancefloor-focused 12"s continues on May 12th with the Leisure System debut of Deapmash, a young French producer whose unreleased bangers have been tearing up dancefloors and become a not-so-secret weapon at Leisure System parties worldwide. Featuring “Halcyon,” a ruffneck VIP of the same track, and an outstanding collaboration with Benjamin Damage, Deapmash’s debut physical release is a no-nonsense introduction to one of the most exciting young techno producers around.

Hiding slightly out of plain sight, Australian producer Mood J has been secretly crafting lush house jams for the last half decade bubbling just under the visible surface.

With the artist and Asquith having briefly touched base at the beginning of the label's journey, it took only a chance encounter in a Ballarat bungalow in 2016 to reignite the flames of the artist-label relationship. Jimmy surprisingly bumping into Jon (Mood J), as he was Daze's housemate in Aus, whilst the Lobster crew were on tour there.

Mood J's hard drive was stashed with archive of warm, sizzling, analogue studio tracks cooked to the nines, and so here we are just over 14 months later with the full epic debut in hand.

The edits-y anthem Turn Your Love Around kicks things off in huge fashion with a stomping & heaving flip of a proper classic. Arrangement never felt so tight and this one rides heftily into the night. NY Vibration follows, smoothing things out with a lolloping New York house twist layered with rippling, resonant deep haus pads, searing top lines and an easy spoken word. 

The flip kicks off with The Arps, a skittering hat skater with an ascending, descending and cascading arp line that hisses with sea spray and hot evenings in central Victoria. 

Providing the last hurrah of the night we have Moonlight Drive. Summer heartbreak captured in a single moment and a slap bass. A melancholy Juno riding over a hint of twinkling optimism, saying that it's not over yet.
