After more than 6 years of silence, Abschaum is finally back with a new album, and it was about time because this new opus is sublime!! 
‘Shamanic’ Chris (Abschaum’s mastermind), made alone this magnificent piece of Folk, Ambient, Kraut music, that he carefully recorded in the mountains of Jura, experimenting with his guitar and a little electronic set-up, composing beautiful melodies and singing French lyrics with powerful voice to bring us to another level of harmonies, the all merged with special atmospheres that are not without remembering Eno or Froese sometimes. In our opinion, this record could easily been recognise as a timeless masterpiece in the future.

Invisible Inc once again presents another incredible full-length album from the talented Double Geography. Following on from 2020's “The Indoor Gardener”, the new LP “Open Water” is bathed in a similar blissful atmosphere.

Double Geography aka Duncan Thornley (one half of Weird Weather and studio engineer at MAP Studios), following the success of his debut album had sent Invisible Inc demos of his second and third album, which although excellent in their own way, the label reluctantly declined on the basis that the music didn't quite fit into the spectrum of the label's output. However, this fourth studio album fits the bill perfectly. Leaning towards the label's more ambient and laidback output, the album is themed around water, transience and escape and sounds as unshackled and free-flowing as you'd expect...you can almost feel the breeze in the air and the sun on your skin.

There is a noticeable progression in the music from his previous releases, this time featuring several additional musicians to compliment Thornley's electronics with live instrumentation...adding a complexity and depth to each of these compositions and an overall 'organic' quality that makes these new pieces sound like quite a departure from the first album. Fretless bass, clarinet and saxophone decorate the music with refrains and melodies that have been enchanting our imagination even in their absence since first hearing them.

“I wanted to incorporate some live musicians on this release so called upon some of the talent I'd worked with as an engineer at MAP Studios...that was the main drive behind the music for this release. The tracks are named after things that relate to either leaving behind canal boat living, e.g. Goodbye Great Escape (Great Escape was the name of our boat) or memories from a trip to Hydra, Greece. All sorta water related… On one of our walks around the island we ended up sharing a beach with Pierluigi Collina hence Famous Italian Referee! That track felt like the weirdest of the bunch so it got designated the weirdest name / memory!” (Duncan Thornley, March 2024)

Don De Lenguas (or the gift of tongues) is the supernatural ability that allows someone to speak languages ​​they do not know, fluently vocalizing syllables similar to speech, and which is related to states of delirium, trance, enchantment, rapture and mystery - all of which can be found in the latest edition of the Phase Group Mix, provided to us by Malu. 

Malu is a DJ and yoga instructor from Spain, currently based in Berlin and known for her versatile selection at parties around the city and excellent radio show Don De Lenguas on Radio Relativa. She will be joining us at the release party for Kulku's new album 'Reset To Be' at the Berghain Kantine on the 30th of April!

No Weapon Is Absolute by Cosmo Vitelli - 01 05 24

In the beginning of the year, my old friend the Duke from Nation Records asked me to participate to his annual online gathering "Unlimited Nation", a reunion of music heads enthusiasts. 
I didn't had the chance to participate in the past, and I was really happy to be able to do it this time, but bad luck, due to a technical fiasco issue (I didn't prepared well for the online streaming), my set couldn't be streamed in the ideal conditions and we had to give it a term (at least people get a lot of fun seeing me taking the full storm from the duke ;D)))... 
Full of frustration after leaving the connection I decided to record it again, straight away, so here it is, a 2h selection of stuff that I have been playing in the past... it's raw, recorded in one take, mixed with a bunch of vinyls and 2x mk2 and xone 42 mixer at the studio of my friends Doo and Ogi in Belgrade, thanks to them for the hospitality.
