Altiplano, Volor Flex’s effervescent collab with fellow Russian producer and good friend Encode, is yet another dateless - albeit state-of-the-art - immersion into the polyrhythmic, dense, visceral compositions that this prolific artist is constantly fine-tuning somewhere in the steppe of the Ural Mountains.

There’s a lot of synced up emotional comfort and tension happening on both sides of the release, balanced-out, as ever, by artfully crafted elements of structure and style. Among them, the everpresent UK garage signature, the noise-drenched soundscapes, the sharp snares, the skittering beats, the melancholy vocals (especially on Altiplano, which easily competes with You In Me or Fake Love in unforgettableness), plus those entrancing moments of fervor followed by profound relief that Volor is such a master of.

The main track and subsequently the EP were named after the highest and largest plateau in South America, and that’s how exalted and wide-reaching this music should feel. Both inner-city and otherwordly, both London and Syktyvkar, the 7-track, two-sided EP is going deep to get that right, raw vibe. The 12” comes with a wonderfully exciting digital perk, a sweet and soulful bonus track titled Avia.

The follow up EP to Yellow Claw’s epic Jeffree’s debut, Amsterdam Twerk Music cleans up your definition of “dirty” just so they can strip it down to booty claps and bass rolls. The first track, “DJ Turn It Up” is a subtle dance floor anthem reminiscent of the heavy bass from your nostalgic middle school days of grinding to timeless hip-hop anthems.

On the second track, Yellow Claw teams up with Tropkillaz and The Kemist to bring us “Assets,” a track that twists its vocals in a way that winds through the most bass-hungry, whimsical quarter of your imagination. “P*$$YRICH feat. Adje” then transports you deeper into Yellow Claw’s bass dungeon, leaving its victims up against the walls bumping and grinding till sunrise.

Amsterdam Twerk Music concludes with “Slow Down”, an addictive baseline paired with a jock-jams reminiscent hook. Yellow Claw are the tastemakers of guilty pleasure. But lets be honest… there’s no guilt attached to the obsession.

Natal Zaks is the 22 year old hypertalented Danish wunderkind behind a multitude of monikers and projects that can each be easily classified as state-of-the-art music. Whether he’s composing and singing for the sweet-sounding techno twosome Averos or he’s busy developing the soft, immersive acoustics of his other dyad, Madelin, Natal is deeply preoccupied with sound design and the emotional impact his cutting-edge musical apparatus will have on any listener.

Yet his Aebeloe handle is the only one that truly does justice to his ample taste-range and personality. A modern prodigy in the very classical sense, Aebeloe transpires raw talent layered upon years of exploration, schooling and constant curiosity.

His “Manon” EP should become an instant classic, given the new, elaborate yet super-relatable techno/house meets celestial electronica sound it showcases. This second EP, released under Natal’s most intriguing and charming alias, Aebeloe, is here to put his name out and up there with all the biggest modern musicians, because that’s exactly where he belongs.

“Are We There Yet?” is the sixth studio album from London Elektricity out on the 6th November on his own nineteen-year-old label Hospital Records. 

Over 14 tracks “Are We There Yet?” combines beautiful chord progressions recorded from his own Steinway piano - a family heirloom passed down through generations - with perfect vocal harmonies from Tony himself, Emer Dineen, Pete Simpson and a welcomed return of award-winning jazz singer Lianne Carroll all underlain with rolling percussion and enveloping bass lines. 

From the uplifting and playful opening of “Singing Ringing Tree” to the soulful “Why Are We Here?”, the spine-tingling roller “Artificial Skin” right through the deeper layers of “Dropship”, London Elektricity’s latest project incorporates a number of styles whilst still keeping to the true and world famous “London Elektricity” sound.

Best experienced in its entirety, “Are We There Yet?” maintains the live finesse which London Elektricity is known for, giving a gentle reminder to the paramount success of “London Elektricity Live” in the early 00's.

Since his last album “Yikes!” London Elektricity has continued to grow his drum & bass empire, overseeing the development of two labels, a number of talented artists and internationally renowned events brand "Hospitality". His encyclopedic knowledge of music spans across several decades and in turn gives a unique quality to his own production as is clear with the outstanding "Are We There Yet?" LP

Known for his harder, hitting singles, Axel Boy as of late has been proving his artistic abilities as a producer and breaking through genre barriers left and right. Between a more futuristic, with hints of the 808 in "Hold On Me" , to ambient and wide wobbles in "Elysium", to collaborating with heavy-hitter 50 carrot in "Federales" and show-casing artillery-like synths with an even more aggressive bass hits - Axel Boy has the uncanny ability to appeal to a wide range of music lovers. Breaking barriers and going for a more melodic and down-tempo feel, Axel Boy's three track EP, appropriately titled Feels, hit's you right in the emotions with each passing track.

Beginning with "Liberty Flute", also appropriately titled, as euphonious flutes and horns begin to ring, lifting you up as it's paired harmoniously with velvety synths, bringing you to a state of up-most calm. As "Liberty Flute" gracefully ends, "Feel Like I do" begins cinematically, with gradual strings leading you to amiable drums as the warm vocals drops into wide, swinging synths, keeping you engaged from beginning to end. Lastly, you're captivated by the sweet bird-like chirps and melodious, sparkling synths in "It's Been Real", as each passing sound harmonously agrees with one another, giving a sense of solitude and betterment.

The EP's entirety is nothing but good vibes, and feel good tracks, a perfect way to end to ring in the Fall.
