Last but not least, Smokin Rock bares its soul for the world to see. Dannewitz belts out his story of hardship with unflinching honesty as Hank Rusch machine guns the universe with his Stratocaster. This song was written in 2018. It was a sort of autobiographical song  pertaining to singer Bob Dannewitz during a rough patch in his life.  At the that time lockdowns, riots, crime, war were non existent. We thought the song was not relatable so we shelved it.  What a difference a couple of years make!! Now all the mad prophet rantings are par for the course in this year 2024.  This the last of Smokin Rock's releases in the album Desiree, we present it for your listening.

Well this is a bit of a curve ball , I had been listening to Axel Menningen and was so impressed I asked him to help on a song I was doing , he in his wisdom suggested it being a duet , so I got in touch with my lifelong friend Kim , and the 3 of us put this together , it's a bit different from my usual stuff , but we think you'll like it ! Introduction in English:
Some of my friends accuse me of having a longing for death or even of glorifying death. In fact, I often deal with death in my lyrics - as I do in this song and the whole album that will be released in the next 12 to 15 months. 
But as with previous songs, I always say that I can enjoy life all the more by fully accepting death as an inevitable reality. Many people who try to suppress this fact constantly feel an underlying, agonising fear that tends to keep them away from the wonderful aspects of life. 
In addition, recognising that death is a constant companion from birth leads to even more profound gratitude for every day that I am allowed to live. 
The song ‘Rendezvous with Death’ was written at a time when I was at an important turning point in my life. During this phase, I realised that I had to let some things ‘die’ in order to continue living well. In this respect, this in-depth rendezvous was necessary in order to move forward again. Another example of how death and life are inextricably linked.

Inyha is a Paris based singer-songwriter of Austrian origin. Passionate about music since her childhood, Inyha sings, writes, plays guitar and piano and produces her songs from beginning till end.
