A Peaceful Song - OMCB

After a longer break I needed some inspiration from Cecilia again and I remixed one of her great songs. This is a slightly different track again. I took advantage of Masha's Open Collap offer, who recorded a meditation for relaxation in her calm, pleasant voice. I tried to underlay these with also relaxing sounds. Because a relaxation phase lasts a little longer, this track is also very long. Otherwise it doesn't work. For me it works, I actually fell short asleep when checking the finished recording with headphones while lying on the couch ;).

Many had hoped that Corona would be a wake-up call for humanity. That people finally have a sense of the gift they've been given. The gift of living in a wonderful world. Many hoped that now people would live in solidarity, live respectfully and peacefully with one another. But already during the Corona crisis one noticed that the opposite was happening. People became more and more selfish. The hatred for everything and everyone increased and it is getting worse and worse. No respect, no solidarity. Now we have war again in Europe and also still in so many other countries in the world where people who actually only want to live peacefully have to die. The Story

Fog covers the calm sea. For days no wind. The situation seems to be hopeless. Finally the wind chases away the clouds and the ship picks up speed. The impressive three-master shines in the glow of the sun. 

The mood increases. The crew celebrates the good weather with plenty of rum. The ropes vibrate in the wind and it sounds like the singing of mermaids. The tune and the rum makes them tired and sleep overpowered them and they do not notice the strange eerie atmosphere. 

Dark clouds appear on the horizon and light up red as blood in the sunset. A thunderstorm is coming up. Heavy squalls tear at the sails. The ship dances on the huge waves. A lightning hits the mainmast. The fire spreads quickly on board. The crew noticed the tragedy too late and is fighting in vain against the forces of nature. It’s to late, the sea devours the proud ship and its crew forever.

Another collab with the amazing Special Cecilia. The music accompaniment is kept very simple. Volca Beats drum, Volca Keys synth sound. A simple guitar bass tone and an ambient digital synth sound in the background. That's all. Together with Cecilia's special voice it sounds pretty cool. I hope you think so too :-)

Once upon a time …
… there was a girl who dreamed of becoming the best dancer in the world. She therefore made a deal with the devil. No great deal. Because in order to become the best dancer, she had to dance for the devil every day for a year. That was the agreement. The devil loved it to watch the girl dancing and he stomped awkwardly to the rhythm and enjoyed her elegance. Because of the power of the horned - he has his connections everywhere - the girl actually became a famous ballet dancer. But she was never happy about her success, because the devil did not stick to the agreement. Till the end of her life, everyday when a thunder boom sounds he drags her into his hell and let her devilishly dancing. And the moral of the story is: Do not trust any great deal, especially not from men with crazy orange hairstyles ;-).

Dance for the Devil

Here's another special rock song. At first there was only a recording with the Digitech Trio+ Stompbox with Looper. Some sequences with rock guitars riffs. Then I wanted to record a guitar solo. The results were unsatisfactory. So I once again took a look in the treasure chest of Cecilia and found the song "Start up Again". He fit in quite well with the rock sound. But something was missing. A background choir. So I founded the OMCB-backing choir, a revolution in music history ;-). Added some synth sounds and finished the very special rock song. Start up listening ...
I think meanwhile OMCB means One Man Cecilia Band :-)

SC offers me the unique opportunity to publish my own sound ideas. I am still learning and I like to be inspired. Therefore, I like to process finished songs of SC friends to new tracks.
