One sleepy day, a solitary twinkle in the dawn sky illuminates and out of space tumbles a brilliantly colored stone. Or so the townsfolk nearby whisper to one another is the origin of strange and unearthly happenings in the countryside. Alongside the stories of the stone are stories of crops becoming powdery and inedible, family members idly chopping their fingers off and seeking voices in the nearby well, and animals fusing together at the joints or descending in to inexplicable, maddening behaviors. And in the air of said countryside, a seeping tint alters the fog, beckoning other life to join its infectious, mind-altering embrace.
