Tabernanthe was the first ever release to go out on Iboga Records all the way back in 1998. The compilation made an important impact not only due to its success with listeners, but it also ushered in the beginning of a new and exciting direction in the scene &ndash; the formation of a label that aimed at promoting and pioneering new styles within the psytrance scene.

With the release of the Tryptamin and Ethnobotony compilations which followed in 2000, the concept of the compilation series made a clear statement about Iboga's focus on showcasing new artists, new styles and the ever expanding diversity of psychedelic trance. That drive to present innovative and wide-randing sounds has continued to be the foundation of the label ever since. Label bosses Emok and Banel now go back to the roots and revive this compilation series with a new edition titled 'Entheogenic', featuring a diverse range of tracks from both well established producers and promising up-and-coming talent.

Out next on Iono-Music we have an album release from Cosmic Flow called 'Synchronicity'.  This  album is a belter; featuring ten bombs guaranteed to blast you into a utopian oblivion! 

The title track 'Synchronicity' is a full on ferocious driving track that rocks from start to end.  'Toxic Flow' is eerie and and mystical with intrinsic acid lines that are hypnotise your soul. 'Rock Air' was made in collaboration with Spherism and features delectable emotional monstrous lines that reach deep inside and touch the heart. 'LSD' is unsurprisingly a trippy twisted number fuelled with militant beats, a dirty bassline and on top  - a plethora of outlandish noises, extra-terrestrial sounds, and impactful powerful driving lines. In the last decade Berlin became a magnetic force of culture. With an enormous appeal to artists from all areas of expertise including music, design, architecture, theatre, dance and everything that helps the evolution of imagination and creativity. This is why it should come to no surprise that it is the birth place of both Iono Music and its founder - Matthias Sperlich.

Like many other labels, Iono Music was born in order to give its founder, Cubixx aka Matthias Sperlich, the freedom he needed to release his first creation as Koaxkaos – "Evolutyon". After he met Murus in 2003 at a Psytrance festival, they started working together for several years, and so Iono Music was established in 2005. Unlike many other labels, which are affected by fashion, hype and commercial factors, Iono Music has been motivated by the radiation that the music transmits and the way the body reacts to it. If the music changes the molecules and atoms into ion then it means it has been ionized*. The Ionization process can only be fully successful if your music is high quality Electronic music. Iono Music's main emphasis is on Progressive Psytrance and yet any Electronic style is accepted as long as it stands out of the others – after all it has to reach the top atmosphere to be an Iono…

Matthias Sperlich was born in 1977 in Berlin, Germany. He has over 15 years of experience behind the decks and has a long time love affair with electronic music. He works as a professional VFX artist for cinema and TV, which allows him to pursue his passion and vision of extraordinary music, while being guided by his perfectionist's standards. Since the beginning Cubixx knew that Iono Music could succeed only if he chooses each artist with extra care, examining every aspect to see if they belong in the Iono family. Thus all the artists and dj's you see in our website were picked one by one, after proving to be not only excellent artists but also great people.

Iono Music never stops to evolve, always being one step ahead with technology and new initiatives it had grown to be an exciting international label. Always on the move, Iono Music promises to give you the top notch music this atmosphere can offer.
