Chapter I – “When The Skies Erupted”

The Thirteen Flare

No one saw it coming or maybe everyone did, but refused to believe it. At precisely the same second across all thirteen universes, the skies broke open like shattered glass. Suns bled out. Worlds blinked and folded into themselves. Every device, every broadcast, every signal screamed the same message: “EVACUATE.”


But there was nowhere to run.

In the cities of Universe 7, towers fell sideways, and people ran into the smoke because running away made no difference anymore. News anchors kept speaking into dead microphones as their studios burned. Pilots reported stars falling like rain. The air became thick with electricity, and guilt. Something ancient had awakened.


The First Wave


The Creators had returned.


For eons, their silence had been mistaken for mercy. Mankind had expanded across galaxies, carved entire civilizations from the dust of forgotten worlds, and crowned themselves gods of their own design. But the Creators saw it as defiance, a glitch in their design that had spiraled too far.

When they struck, they didn’t send armies. They tore through physics itself. Planets fractured from within, space folded into spirals, and time began to lag behind itself. Each universe’s sky erupted in a chain reaction, a synchronized cleansing.


The Ground Level

On the surface, chaos replaced reason.

Factions rose overnight, people desperate to survive, to fight, to blame someone. The Harrowguard Legions marched under cracked banners, swearing vengeance against unseen gods. The Order of Lightlessness preached surrender, believing extinction was the path to redemption. Others simply looted what was left, building bonfires in the ruins of their own homes.

Through it all, a voice kept cutting through the static of dying frequencies:

“This is the end of creation. This is The War of Creation. DEFY.”


It came from no known source, a broadcast with no coordinates, looping endlessly between the falling worlds. Some said it was a human transmission. Others whispered it was one of the Creators themselves, testing the will of their creations.


The Last Broadcast


In the city of Caladrex-9, a child recorded the final words ever transmitted before the silence:

“Is this what they wanted?”


Her voice echoed across frequencies before everything went quiet. No stars. No direction. Nothing.


But even as the skies erupted, not everyone perished. In the deepest corners of the dying universes, underground, underwater, or hidden behind artificial suns, survivors began to plan something unthinkable: A way to fool the gods.
