Welcome to Session VI, the culminating ritual of ARKANÆA – EP VI. In this sonic passage, we transcend flesh and flame to enter crystalline sky-temples, where ancestral memories drift in starlight. The serpent’s cleansing fire has dissolved the body into vapor—welcome to pure, suspended post-ritual consciousness. Here, the Aether awaits: not detached, but diffused into all things as we commune with the divine field and awaken the great remembering.

WHAT IS THE MUSIC OF ‘ECSTATIC DANCE’ ?

Many people find a beautiful song and think “Oh i’m gonna listen to it a lot !”
And there is a special kind of people who think “Oh I can’t wait to play it for others”. 
These kind of people are called “DJ"

I spend a big chunk of my time digging for music.
And the constant question that arises is:

Can I play it at Ecstatic Dance ?

For me, Ecstatic Dance is an opportunity to discover and dance to music that is not played on commercial dance floors or spotify playlists.

Music that invites my body to move in new or different ways, or to relax and be still.

Music that isn’t just happy-happy but that might induce sadness, anger, introspection, elevation and other states.

Music that connects me to myself, to others and to life.

That is true for me as a dancer, as a DJ and as a budding musician. 

Some of the music I play at Ecstatic Dance is light, dance-y, and approachable.

and some, well, is less so. 

One of my greatest challenges is finding the balance between playing what I love and between accommodating for what people can receive.

I know I can appeal to more people if i play more commercial music.

But I feel such a calling to share some of the treasures i find;

Like a 13 minutes piece weaving together traditional arabic music and a classical string quintet.

Or music by a swedish live-band integrating latin, jazz, african, and amazonian music. 

Or a heart-ripping african-american gospel blues piece from the 1920s that was etched on a gold disc and sent to outer space on the voyager space probe.

Or a polish folk song sung by a group of female singers and remixed by a french electronic musician.

The challenge to find this balance isn’t easy, but i embrace the challenge and the experiences and insights it brings.

And so, you can find some of these treasures in this DJ set, which I played at ’Snake Charmer’-  a slower edition of Ecstatic Dance - in Koh PhaNgan, July 9th, 2020.

Друзья, хоть я был неуверен что многие смогут окунуться в атмосферу Ecstatic Dance на холодке, тем не менее в нашем лагере "Духовное племя", увиденное превзошло мои ожидания! Такое огромное количество безумно скачущих и счастливых людей без допингов я не видел на фестивале!))) Миссия выполнена!
Я преисполнен удовлетворением и благодарностью за это путешествие!
Оставляю запись сета, чтобы можно было вновь вдохновиться прослушиванием и потанцевать! До встречи в танце!

Art is a representations of ourselves, we try to plasm how we feel, our beliefs and ideas, or sometimes just have the desire to tell a story.
Born in Cozumel, IOSOY artistic side was present since the beginning influenced by Latin & World rhythms in early life. His true self begun to unravel after some encounters with Ancestral Medicine, Meditation became a daily practice, consequently Art begun to flow from the insides.
Always evolving, every composition will take you to a different place, always looking to elevate your consciousness & to connect with your Spirit.
