Ipcress - Progressive Techno Sessions Volume 2

DJ Ipcress has been at the forefront of the UK underground electronic music scene for over 20 years.  Having honed his unique psychedelic techno sound in the London warehouse parties of the mid 2000’s, he moved seamlessly to the festival circuit and has played many UK and International events since 2007.  Combining the driving basslines of contemporary techno and the melodic structures derived from his background in psychedelic music you can expect a journey as the layers are built up and groove locked in.  In 2012 he teamed up with Ben Coda and launched the Nanoplex LIVE project which has gone from strength to strength with 3 albums and a number of high profile EP’s released on Iboga Records.  With performances at Boom, Ozora, Symbiosis, Rainbow Serpent, Glastonbury, Origin Festival, Noisily Festival & Glade as well as countless others across the globe – this is just the start of story.

Hailing from Bangalore, Karan Sekar, loves deep, progressive house and melodic, minimal techno music. At an early age, he was influenced by the likes of Eelke Kleijn, Adam Beyer, John Digweed, Tale of Us, which fuelled his passion for becoming an established DJ and electronic music producer. 

His knowledge of computers, electronics and music theory enables him to apply innovative techniques to his music with attention to technical detail. Karan creates fluid, uplifting and energetic melodies that help create an immersive experience for his listeners. 

A multi-genre artist, Karan Sekar is not just your run-of-the-mill DJ. He is a certified Ableton Live music producer, also familiar with all industry-standard DJ software/hardware and venue sound, visual and light systems. 

When he's not working on his music, Karan loves to develop video games and build customized high-performance systems.
