The third release on Rival Turf sees the debut EP from ‘Shako’, who was last seen remixing Boy 8-Bit’s ‘Timeworks’ into a acid frenzy on the 2014 EP of the same name (reverse cut, inside-out playing vinyl copies still available!)

‘Indunk’ - a live take, distortion coated acid work out, featuring broken amp drums, VHS sourced monologues, pitched up apache breaks and gabba kicks.

‘It Rotates!’  - slowly building, broken beated paranoid acid that descends into a white noise wash of ominous brass. 

Ryan James Ford of Marcel Dettmann’s MDR label supplies us with a brooding, late night take on the title track. Heads down dancing music.

Opening the release we have the ambient ‘Cylindrical’.

The Indunk EP is the first of a series of Shako releases through Rival Turf.

Okay people, I have a little treat for you all!
I was sent a few tunes from Nottingham boys Congi and was really impressed with the selection of music that passed my ears.
"Awaken" turned my head instantly. Dark, well produced beats with an abundance of subs, lovely jubbely!

It was a truly busy summer for Parov Stelar. His 5th studio album "The Princess" was a success and tickets for his shows all over the world were on heavy demand. After an exhausting summer of touring, with dozens of sold out shows, it´s now time to make a brief stop, take a deep breath and look back. Parov Stelar has chosen is a series of three remix EPs as the perfect way to reflect. In this series he and colleagues have been searching for new aspects in his sounds and reinterpreting his music. Every EP follows it´s own path and carves out some unique details.

Part one of the three-part series presents two remixes by Parov Stelar himself. Both the classic Parov Stelar track "L.O.V.E." as well as "Oh Yeah", which is from Stelar´s latest album, have been given a high gloss finish for "The Remix and Re-Edit Trilogy Part 1/3". "L.O.V.E." mutates from a rocking breakbeat monster to a chilled disco-house track with a perfect summer feel.  "Oh Yeah" has also been given the disco treatment by cranking it up a notch and creating much more pressure for the dancefloor than the album version.

The further parts of the trilogy will be released over the autumn.

When different musical projects bring keep the promise on the stage, in every sense it is a win. At the same time when there is too much ambition it can fall on it's face. Here the senses are filled with something both for the eyes and the ears in a progressive ease.
Karocel is the three ring event of Marbert Rocel, Mathias Kaden and Michael Nagler. Simply put, all-out jamming brought the three together in 2010. The musicians treasured such a constellation for quite some time. They seemed to always play at the same time in the same place yet apart.. Being fans of each other is over time can turn out to be frustrating. That had to change and so it did.

Wenn verschiedene musikalische Projekte in einer Verheißung die Bühne betreten, ist das in aller Regel ein Zugewinn. Kann aber auch bei zu viel Ambitionsgemenge nach hinten losgehen. Hier geht es ohren- und augenfällig in die vorwärtsgewandte Richtung.
Karocel, das sind die Musikkapelle Marbert Rocel, Mathias Kaden und Michael Nagler. Einfach drauflos jammend fanden sie 2010 zusammen. Die Musikanten schätzten sich schon sehr lange. Sie spielten aber immer zur selben Zeit am selben Ort. Gegenseitiges Fan-Sein ohne Miteinander ist auf Dauer sehr unbefriedigend. Das musste sich ändern. Und wurde auch prompt geändert.
